Creepy man trespassing

There was this creepy man yesterday around age 40-50. He was fat, with a backwards baseball cap and sunglasses. He had two small dogs with him. I have a fairly large yard. So he walks into my driveway, crouches down, then walks across my lawn and crouches down again. He continued to inspect my front yard for about 5 minutes, then he walked into my backyard and looked around back there. He kept closely inspecting my house/property for around 12 minutes. Until he walked into the forest that my property backs onto. My sister got a picture of him, he was not one of my neighbours, we did not know him. At the time there were no cars in our driveway so he must have thought no one was home.

Could he be planning to break into my house? Has any one else had any experiences with prowlers/trespassers?

Maybe he was hunting something. Or someone.

Should have gone all Clint Eastwood on him and told him to get off your lawn.

You should have gone and stared at him in a creepy way through a clearly visible window.

Just dig a moat and buy some piranhas, problem solved.

I would have gone out and asked him if I could help him with something. Who knows what he was doing.

If he comes back use some plyers to castrate him.

He was probably hoping his dogs would take a crap in your yard, so he wouldn't have to clean it up.

Was this during the day? You should have stuck your head outside and asked him what he was doing...or told him to f*** off, depending on how polite you are.

It's possible I guess. Don't know if your home has a Homeowners Association that requires a certain amount of maintenance and upkeep on your property, but that's another possible explanation. If it was in the middle of the day, you should have told him off. What is rather creepy about it is how he left into the woods.

Hes actually the ghost of the previous homeowner and his dogs, who were brutally murdered in the woods while taking a walk,

a guy was tresspassing in my driveway last thursday (in the daytime) and on friday night my car was broken into.

I had a spare set of my house keys in the glove box and they were stolen. So I spent the day saturday changing all the locks to my house.

I'd report it to the police just to be safe, people you don't know shouldn't be so interested in you house and property.

He had his on a short leash the whole time, the dogs could not have gotten that far up onto my lawn/backyard to poop.

I live in a wierd neighborhood, and I've had this happen multiple times as well as having people peep through the windows (imagine that when you're watching a scary movie at night...). I don't know if you have any weapons of some sort, but my Mosin Nagant from Cabela's hasn't failed me yet. Seems people answer any questions when you have a rifle in you hands...
