I have some videos I want to upload on the Net but I need to convert them to MPG or WMV. Do you know any  free software that can do that?

Which is a large pain might I add. I've attempted to make game videos numerous times but the songs I wanted to use were MPEG-4's and weren't compatible with Windows Movie Maker.
