Cherry tomatoes are horrible

I hate them. I love normal tomatoes but cherry tomatoes while having similar flavor have a disgusting texture. It's what I imagine eating raw eyeballs would be like...put this round tasteless orb in your mouth and when you bite down it pops and disgusting juices burst out.

Oh, and if by some bad luck it's a bit south of ripe? No way to know until you bite in only then do you get the rancid juice bursting out into your mouth.

Now you know how I feel about cherry tomatoes.

the smaller surface area and non spreading out nature of the cherry tomato makes for a thick ass disgustingly tough skin.

i dislike normal cherry tomatoes as well, now if you're talking about sun gold cherry tomatoes or indigo cherry drop tomatoes you are wrong they're delicious!

I had cherry tomatoes tonight. They are good. The burst of juices in your mouth is the best part!

Stop with your blasphemy TC. Cherry tomatoes are great. I like how tender they are and their sweetness is one particular aspect of them I'm fond of. Also they're so vibrant and fresh-looking its a delight just to look at them. I can't comprehend how you can be so anti-cherry tomatoes :/

Cherry tomatoes are fucking great in a pasta salad.

I think some of you are misreading that statement, basically the outside is tasteless meaning the skin before you break into the juice.

Well, I figured it didn't even enter into the equation.

People don't exactly eat tomatoes for their skin after all.

It is part of the eating experience which is what I was illustrating...it's not like a normal tomato where you typically eat it sliced up. Cherry tomato's are eaten mostly whole, so the first experience you get is putting a hard tasteless round thing in your mouth.

I always eat cherry tomato .... because it grows easily in a warmer climate.....

I kind of like them. Biting them results in an explosion of tomato flavor, and if you like tomatoes, that can be a good thing.

If you want good tomatoes you have to get them fresh at a farmer's market or grow them yourself. Supermarket tomatoes of any kind are always disappointing.

I wouldn't know, I don't like tomatoes.

I just don't like eating raw tomato full stop. Use them in cooking all the time but just can't eat them on their own or raw in a sandwich, burger, etc.

Don't care for raw tomatoes in any form. You could solve your problem by halving them first, though, as they're served in a salad. No more eyeball shaped surprises...
