Cake or Pie?

Cheesecake... Or blueberry pie. This is difficult :(

Generally cake but then I'm not keep on fruit in puddings so that rules out many of what you Americans call pie I guess... My mrs does a mean Parsnip cake and that's probably my favourite but I do like really chocolaty cakes too. I do have some love for pie though, Key Lime Pie, Lemon Meringue Pie & Mississippi Mud Pie for starters. Do things like Bakewell Tart count as pie over there too?

To me a pie will always be a savoury dish, preferable filled with Steak and Ale. What do you guys in the US call what we call a pie actually?

Cake. There are only a few kinds of pies that I like (apple, strawberry, pumpkin) and there are only a few kinds of cakes that I don't like.

I've never been a pie guy(HERESY!). So, cake.

Pie.

There's no such thing as a chicken pot cake.

None... both are bad you you. well, .. for me anyway.

PIE!

If cake, I prefer coconut.

If pie, I prefer cherry.

I love them both equally.

They make me quite merry.

You should not be made to choose between cake or pie. Chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting is my favorite but I love a slice of fruit pie warmed up with vanilla ice cream.
