BestBuy Black Friday Blunder

So i ordered a console bundle on black Friday and it still hasn't even been sent to UPS for delivery. Their message board is full of posts from people in the same boat, some having ordered on Thursday and still have not had their packages sent out. It is pretty ridiculous that such a large company is taking a full week to get packages out.

It wouldn't be so bad if not for the fact that these orders, which seem to have been pushed to the back of a storeroom to make room for 1-2day delivery packages, had the option to be cancelled or switched to in store pickup. They don't. The package has just been collecting dust for days now, every Best Buy around me has the console in stock. 4-6 days in limbo, but for some reason we can only switch our order within 30 minutes of placing it. Which makes sense if the package is going out to shipping the next day as normal.

The Big Wigs at Best Buy really thought this was a good idea?

Anyone else have a similar experience this Black Friday Weekend?

Call directly and complain instead of using their forums

We try to ensure the quickest possible delivery time for the most amount of customers. Due to high demand and store reservation policies we have ran into a backlog issue with processing orders and getting them shipped to you. For some customers this means that they are not receiving up to date alerts about the status of their order. For this reason, you should be on the look out for the package or call your local post office location to make pick up arrangements to ensure the security of your order. We expect that by December 15th all orders should be delivered.
