When thinking about the best full feature documentary movies "Thrilla In Manila" showing the passion and rivalry in Rocky was not some fantasy that in reality, Muhammad Ali was kind of abit of a dick and the Yogy bear documentary "Grizzly Man" in which an annoying campy person attempted to hug bears gets eaten, comes to mind.
What are the best documentary movies?
Roger & Me, it's really interesting to see what was a once prosperous town that was Flint degrade into something that's a a barren wasteland of abandon homes and collapsing infrastructure and government.
Under Our Skin, is a documentary about Chronic Lyme's Disease, claiming the current medical practice doesn't go far enough to treat long term degenerative health issues associated with the illness. And honestly I don't know where to come down on the issue it addresses. The film brings up a lot of reasons to be skeptical of the medical communities stance on it, but at the same time I still wonder if it's sensationalist hokum bred by a distrust for the close relationship between corporate interests and the government medical agencies and other organizations. I strongly recommend watching it though.
The old Why We Fight films, which were produced by the US government, but a great place to see some old WW2 footage in the tone of its time.
I don't really care for documentaries. I can understand their appeal, but to me they're just boring.
the union, zeitgeist, and there was one about the media that i just watched but i can't remember the name.
