Ha, I had a quick thought of putting in Immortal cause I knew you would vote for them haha.

Out of that list, easily Burzum. Burzum is probably one of my favourite overall black metal bands too. I think Mayhem are overrated.PernicioEnigma

Yeah I think Mayhem pretty much lost it after Dead killed himself and Varg killed Euronymous. When they reformed with pretty much no original members they were just an average band.

Dark Funeral are the gods of Black Metal .

i don't have much black metal experience, but i like Emperor. Beyond the Great Vast Forest and The Burning Shadows of Silence are my favorite songs by them.

My favorite is either Carach Angren or Thyrfing, but from the ones listed I'd say Bumzur.

Summoning is amazing stuff too, I love Oath Bound

Immortal and Shining are the only two black metal bands I've really been able to get into, although I also rather like Mercyful Fate, who was somewhat of a big influence on the genre.

I'm not really a fan of black metal, the only band I'll listen to is Diabolical Masquerade.

Deathspell Omega. The French scene is where it's at.
