Daft Punk. I heard one or two songs, got sick of them after a few plays and quit loocking into them. Then I decided to check out Interstella 5555 (the anime movie in sync with their album Discovery) and was blown away by how awesome their music was.
Actually, about a half hour ago I heard some of the Loose album by Nelly Furtado. I never even bothered before thinking it was too chicky for me, but she has some good beats.
i can't really think of any...i guess for me it would be Death Metal, about a year ago i started getting into it, but before that i thought it all sucked, and sounded the same

Same thing with me. Though I am just starting to get into death with Nile and Deicide, not much good DM bands IMO.
All I use to listen too is metal, so I hated Radiohead the first time I heard it. (They're my favorite band now.) I also didn't like Led Zeppelin up until about a year ago.

Also, popular iwth Cure fans. A newcomer shouldn't always start listening to what the fans dictate is best.
Slipknot. I hated them for the longest time. I hated them without even listening to a song (mostly because of some of the fans I met), but now I'll admit they have some good songs I have listened to. Thanks Guitar Hero!
the new one, it was like listening to the same song over and over again, it was just bad, They rhymed, away with day in every chorous in atleast 4 songs, it was like i could predict exactly what he was going to say everysong the first time i heard it
Jimmies Chicken Shack. I only liked one song by them and tried to listen to others but never finished listening to alot of em and the ones I did I didn't like. But some odd months later I gave another listen and loved it, bought their other CD's and loved them to. Wonder what my life would be like if I never had done that :)
