I would say 60.
What would you say?

You'll know you've finally reached old age when you check out a hot chick and she looks at you like you're an old perv.

I truly believe you
I would go with 70 generally...but thinking about it I realize that my +70 year-old father is in better shape than I am so I suppose it's all relative depending upon where and how one has their feet planted in life.
1 - 12 = kids
12 - 18 = teenagers
18 - 24 = young adult
24 - 40 = adult
40 - 70 = middle-aged
70 - 100 = old
100+ = venerable
I would say young adult to 26.
Middle age 35-49.
Older Gentlemen/Lady 50-62.
Old 63-70 (65+ is the age they should make it illage for them to drive.)
You could go at any second, 71+

you could go at any second at 40 also but that isn't old.
40 - 70 is getting old, but it isn't old.
and people do live into their 90's at least these days.
50 is equivalent to about 30 these days, much different than it was in the 1950's.

I think once you get past the 40s, "old" depends on actual physical and mental condition just as much as age. Someone who is 30 is objectively not old, whereas someoone who is 55 may or may not be old. I've met 55 year old people who look better than me, are more healthy and lively than me, and who could easily kick my ass. But I've also met 55 year olds who look and act like they were 70. Once we get into middle age and beyond, "old" becomes more subjective and more variable and depends more on how that person lived and how they've taken care of themselves.
@sukraj:
Humm, that makes sense. 35 and up are old.. when 70 and up considered dead then IMO.
35 isn't old at all, its not even middle-aged.
70 and up is old but as a person said a few posts up, he knows a 79 year old whos more like someone half his age in most ways.
Does depend on health and attitude.
I am 32 and I feel no older than when I was in my early 20s. What I feel is old gets older every year I age lol. When I was a kid I thought 30 or 40 was old. Now thats nothing, In fact I know some 60some year olds at work that are very active and dont really seem old.
30.
Also never trust anyone older than 30.
Haha the Rolling Stones said that in the early 1960's....
how old are Mick and Keith now?
Looked it up....
these guys are still rocking (and not in a rocking chair):
Paul Mccartney = 71
Mick Jagger = 70
Keith Richards = 69 (70 in 2 months)
Steven Tyler = 65
Jon Bon Jovi = 51
also,
Madonna is 55
John Stamos and Johnny Depp are age 50
Rob Lowe and Brad Pitt are both 49

You'll find the 30's are not much different than the 20's.....
the slowdown usually seems to be around 38 - 42 which corresponds with middle-age. This is often the time when good athletes start retiring.
