I'm tired seeing people accused of being a "fanboy" simply because the have a preference for something. What the hell does calling someone a fanboy even prove? I like jeans and T-shirts. i must be a "jeans and t-shirt fanboy". Do people even realize how ignorant they sound calling someone names? I just realized, i'm on the internet complaining about ignorance in an environment that thrives on very thing i'm complaining about.

No, a fanboy is someone who takes such interests to an extreme. Example follows...

Me: Man, Mass Effect looks like its gonna be pretty good.

Level headed person's response: Mass Effect isn't my kind of game, I'm more into (insert genre). Besides, I don't own a 360, just a PS3.

Fanboy response: LOL more like flop effect n00b! x360 suxx!!! PS3 FTW!!!!1!!
