It seems as a general rule the more people make the more they complain.

I know there are some exceptions but wow...

I can tell right now, if I had tons of money and a very big house I still won't be happy. but having very little money sux.. just be happy of what you got.

Rich people are definitely more likely to be happier than poor people or normal people.

Money might not buy happiness, but it sure can make life a whole lot easier

If they take their wealth for granted, I believe they aren't happier.

I have a theory that no one is truly happy, excluding the Dali Lama, who seems to have a permanent smile on his face.

Rich people still have worries, just not the same worries poor folk have.

Everyone's gotta worry about something. It's just how we roll.

It all depends on how you're raised.

I went to a private school, most were ungrateful only because they were born into wealth and don't know how to value it , but they aren't total jerks.

And some were pretty cool people that don't have their minds set on material, they'd use it for experiences such as travel, stuff they actually needed, car, food, a phone.

Except that they could afford quality.

And are also raised to not be greedy

There are some very happy rich friends I have.

Lamborghini or Ferrari? Serious decisions

#19 Posted by joehult (366 posts) -

Because people don't know how to live. People that were poor, but strike it rich become isolated since their friends and family become blood sucking leeches. People that work hard to get rich often sacrifice most of their best years. And people that were born rich, are just spoiled brats that can never appreciate what they have.

Are sweeping generalizations, such as the one posited by the question in the OP, ever anything other than pointless?

More like "Are these my friends or moochers?" It's why rich folk segregate themselves.

I suspect that people who are rich might have problems worrying about their investments, where their money goes, for example, when it involves the company, and if they risk losing a lot of money, then their worry is increased.

Hardly "pointless". Very ignorant but it creates discussion.

Let's not forget about things like family. Rich people aren't special, magical creatures that don't worry about things that other people worry about.

I don't think rich people all feel the same way, and complaining more is not necessarily a sign of unhappiness.

#26 Posted by JustSignedUp (1148 posts) -

thats complete bullshit, thats what they want you to think so you dont feel bad about being poor and so you dont compete with them

Happiness is found in other things. Like at the center of a tootsie pop.

Depends of their situation. Having cancer sucks regarless if you are in Lamborghini or in the side walk of a street. Though in a healthy situation I'm sure the rich person would be happier.

Being rich doesn't mean your happy, if they don't have anyone to share their wealth with, what's the point of being rich.
