Ponies are for women. Any man who likes ponies is wrong-headed. Aren't men supposed to like beer, Rams, and women?

Yes, we are real.

It's a great show, and I don't think I need to justify why I like it.

The_Capitalist

I don't get why you choose it out of all children's shows though. Why not Misadventures of Flapjack? Avatar? Regular Show? What made you choose MLP over all those other good cartoons?

I've watched Avatar, Gravity Falls, etc. All of which are good cartoons. But MLP: FiM just has that awesome fanbase that keeps me coming back every time.

The fanbase really is the main reason why many people do still enjoy the show to this same degree.

Nah man. Don't care what is on the interweb.

If you say "I like ponies."

I say "You are lame, ponies are lame."

Fact: Ponies are lame.

so someone is "wrong-headed" for liking something, that you deem to be "for women" and thus automatically makes them homosexual?

what shows people watch, music they listen to, etc. has nothing to do with sexuality.

Most wouldn't go out of their way to say something like "I'm a fan of MLP, and ponies are awesome sauce!". Though sure, there are exceptions. But I think this said friction only really exists because of what people do and don't consider to be "masculine".

Most people from either side (I'd like to think so), just simply don't care, and leave it at that. But then there are the minority groups (again, from both sides) who have to make a big deal about things.

I don't know what to say really :\

Bronies aren't real because infact, every brony is a pony.

Every time I see a brony related thread, you always seem to be the last poster, SuneGem. This makes me furious.

Go on deviantART then if it really makes you that furious. I'm sure that'll satisfy your curiosity.

DragonBall Z is waaay more serious, and has a rather massive fanbase.

Anyway,what's the big deal?

One of my best friends is a brony.

It's a great show, I watch it regularly, and I was tempted to buy some shirts at Hot Topic. That said, you won't catch me dead cosplaying at a brony convention.

I believe it was October 10th, 2010 that the first episode aired. Though its presence was still very much limited to just the /co/ and /b/ chan boards at the time.

Actually I' m a DragonBall Z fan as well (I used to be a bigger one years ago). It' s just that there was this overabundance of threads concerning DBZ-a few of them would be enough.

I seen it around July at a guess. First video I watched on it was PonyCraft 2. Then curiosity hit me, I watched the first episode, and hated it. :o

Gave it another shot a month or two later with some friends and watched past the first episode. I realised then that after episode 2 was over it became a light hearted and enjoyable cartoon. We wnt on a marathon and watched 10 episodes in ont night I believe. Kept going "nah, it's getting beyond a joke that we're watching this now... Ok one more."

thats true although at least they are people and not designed to look little, girlish, cute etc i know thats not your point though i would assume there is a higher percentage of mlp fans that look at porn of their show compared to simpsons fans particularly the mlp fans outside the demographic for the show

I didn't get a chance to watch it until late last year. But I think the first videos I saw were just several kyrospawn clips on Youtube. And I had seen a lot of pony pictures posted here at the time. So I took a little trip to Wikipedia, and wherever else, learning what I could about it, and before I knew it, I'd watched through the whole first season.

And now here I am....reading fanfics almost daily...

Good question, what happened to the good old days of great cartoons like Powerpuff Girls and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends? Oh wait...
