I get anxiety when I have to talk with a stranger on the phone. Anyone else ever experience this?

Yep. But that's more to do with anxiety in general when talking to people. Managed to get past the worst of it and don't deal with it as much anymore but used to be a hell of a lot worse and annoying as hell.
I've got ringing anxiety...anything that rings gives me half a second panic....phones, doorbell, alarm clock...it only lasts a fraction of a second before my brain kicks in and tells me to relax but I still hate ringing sounds...I think it started on a point in my life when everything was going really wrong...I'd get a bunch of phone calls from stalkers, they'd show up at my door without me ever giving them my phone or address, etc, etc....even when the phone call was from family I would always think the stalkers had gotten their numbers and started harassing them as well...it was really stressful.

Yeah, that happens with me too, especially with my phone ringing and alarm, except my panic lasts slightly longer. It's especially panicking when I'm awoken by it.
It's really weird. I just get this sudden feeling of dread when it happens.
Sort of. I tend to ignore phone calls from numbers I don't recognize under the theory that if it's important, they'll leave a voice message.
Use to be bad with it. to the point where if someone called me, just to chat, id make up some excuse that i cant talk on the phone and only text.
if possible, i would rehearse what i was going to say several times in my head.
ive gotten much better though.
now my only real problem is, i absolutely suck at small talk.
No, I don't talk to someone I don't know, that would be weird.. if wrong number I would say sorry. what more to say?!
