We all know SyFy's track record when it comes to original programming, but this TV event is really, really excellent. I didn't think it was going to be as good as it is.

Anybody else watching it? The second part of the three part miniseries aired last night.

Speaking of TV shows has anyone seen Marco Polo? Is it good or just a lame Netflix attempt at Game of Thrones?

I watch it this past Monday airshocker. I didn't realize this wasn't a regular series but rather a miniseries hoping to get picked up as a series later. Hopefully it does get renewed because part 2 was really good! Lots of secrets were revealed while other mysteries started.

@Storm-Marine I didn't get a chance to watch Marco Polo on Netflix but when I saw the name the other day, I'm thinking Uncharted 2 Marco Polo lol.

From what I heard it's supposed to be good but to be honest I totally forgot about it. I'm going to watch the first two parts later today.

In case anybody wants to check it out the first episode is free on Amazon Instant Video.

The entire event has been pretty damned good. I didn't think Tricia Helfer would be any good, but she has surprised me.

Great production values, little of anything else.

Ascension though has been very good. Actually very good sci-fi elements along with decent writing and good acting. Syfy tends to do fairly well in the mini-series department.

Now lets hope the ratings are good enough to merit a full-blown TV series production.

I'm watching the third episode right now and I don't know if they even want to make it into a series.

I just finished watching the first two episodes but I have to wait until tomorrow to watch the last episode on Hulu since I don't have cable anymore. While it's good in my opinion, the fact that at the end of the first episode it was revealed to be all fake, with the ship being watched and controlled 24/7 like a space version of The Truman Show seemed kind of disappointing. I am looking forward to see how it concludes and if it could be made into a series.

That ending though.... Fantastic series, they leave it open so there are lots of things to sort through. They've also established a universe in which a series would very much be possible. They definitely took it in a direction I didn't expect and left me guessing. I very much enjoyed it.

I loved the ending. Lets just hope SyFy sees what it wants to see in the ratings and gives production a greenlight.

I made it to the nude fight scene in episode 2. <_> I thought this was a historical drama not pornified wuxia. It's sad to see a big budget and good setting go to waste.

Not a bad series, it was a little slow at first but the last part was great. I'm really hoping for a series after this, because there are so many open questions.

First episode nabbed 1.8mil and it dropped off to 1.5 million by the final episode. These are consistent numbers across syfy original programming. It's an original concept with an interesting plot and lots of potential. Syfy would be foolish to pass up creating a larger series.

I dont know what you have been watching but if you watched the 3 part mini-series called Ascension you are mistaken by a long shot, this is neither Sci-fi or good. Its a absolute horrible series that is made even worse by C-actors who couldn´t get a roll in anything else if it hit them with a ten foot pole.

The whole kid gone super mental and the lesbian supergirl who wants to expose it all because she is the SJW of the century. Its just terrible.

The premise on the other hand is brilliant and if it had better actors and better writers and possible a better network to be on, it could have been the science fiction series of the year.
