There was another guy who tried to steal his schtick (I think he was originally called The Angry Nintendo Nerd), and then even tried to say that the AVGN was a rio-off of his original act. It was a pathetic example of plagiarism, and I remember that quite a few people actually sided with the rip-off artists and sincerely believed that the AVGN was the thief. Anyways, AVGN is funny, and those of us internet fiends know that he was the original.
I do prefer Nostalgia Critic myself too, his humour comes more so from genuine jokes than funny anger which I prefer, and he's completely oblivious and care free to what people think of him, which is the core of a great comedian in my opinion. That being said though, AVGN is still great and I have seen every episode for good reason.

Yeah, yeah... "The Irate Gamer". What a hack. I mean, it's fine to imitate another, after all, "imitation is a form of flattery", right? The reason it got offensive, and you obviously know this, is that "The Irate Gamer" actually accused the AVGN of being the hack. In other words, "The Irate Gamer" tried to sell this lie that his schtick was the original and that he hadn't stolen his entire act from the AVGN. It was pathetic. He should've just told the truth and given props to the AVGN.
Weirder maybe. The cross-overs and the advertising is both pretty lame if you ask me. AVGN is way funnier and a lot less awkward to watch AVGN is the original, and you can't mess with that.

Both NC and AVGN have being in a decline,their new videos arent as snappy anymore,their older videos are just gold,NC in particular has become abit more akward to watch,although SIGNS as a good and funny review. AVGN slid downhilld abit after the JAG reviews,after i rewatched them i thought they were okay,but that marked the new AVGN that i didnt find as fun. Regardless,both are awesom.

that's what their character is supposed to look like. Doug and James, on the other hand, look like pretty cool and level-headed guys. Also yeah, I do like AVGN. It might be because my sense of humor is really fvcked but I still enjoy the hell out of his vids. Was watching this and this just yesterday

that's what their character is supposed to look like. Hence why I think it. You're not really saying anything by that though, almost every fan knows that the video/series is mostly based on the over-reactions of a short-tempered NC and AVGN. It would be a different story if the focus of their vids was elsewhere but they still came off as obnoxious and annoying. It's like saying you don't like racing games 'cause there's racing in it.
