At least the attacker got arrested. Korean people need to learn that they are not above the system and neither is anyone else.

yes. by all means.

all korean people need to learn that they are not all above the system.

i'm sure this is just a prelude to the great every korean stabbing ambassadors wave that we all know is coming if they don't learn the valuable lesson that 100% of koreans are not above the no stabbing ambassadors system that we have in place.

Your exaggerating. I am talking about the mindset that a lot of Koreans have that everyone has to make accommodations for them but they do not have to make accommodations for anyone else.

North Koreans, South Koreans, Koreans in general? Who are these people you are referring to? =)

As someone who has worked with Koreans, I am referring to the mindset that many (not all but many) of Koreans have of: "respect us, and maybe we will respect you in return."

I hear they don't particularly care for foreigners, especially if they're in relationships with Korean women that can provoke violence from some people. Wonder if he was targeted because he was the ambassador or if he was just some foreigner.

I remember when I went to Vietnam they were generally very nice, however we got looks everywhere we went because we stuck out so much an I'm sure people like us weren't a common site.

I had a friend who went to teach in Japan and she told me about instances of very overt discrimination of her from certain businesses that absolutely refused to serve her.
