Beavis and Butthead is our alternative instead of watching repetative show like the simpson.... if not because of beavis and butthead ... there will not be Daria, Southpark, Regular Show or even Jackass /and it's kind in our life .... the future is slightly different without them ... people will we more serious or easily offended

The show certainly hasn't aged well...in fact, I would agree it's pretty crappy by today's standards, but it paved the way for much edgier cartoons.
I don't even remember the show, but I remember my parents telling my sister and I that we weren't allowed to watch it, which only made us sneak around and watch it at night.
Mike Judge himself will admit that a lot of the old Beavis & Butthead episodes are crap. At the time they were under a lot of pressure from MTV to churn out a lot of episodes. This combined with the incredibly short length of most episodes (which only really allowed for a series of shallow jokes rather than any kind of plot development) meant that quality often suffered. However when they did hit one they hit it out of the park.
It was funny when I was a wee lad, and the recent episodes were a touch of nostalgia. I'd later find Daria to be funnier, wish they'd bring that back.lamprey263
