Really hoping this is Kyle Chandler's year even though he's got some tough competition even with Cranston not eligible. I'd personally like to see FNL win Best Drama too but that's not gonna happen.

And please let Parks & Rec/Community finally get some recognition.

Yeah I got it to work at the end there.

Parks and Rec is nice but Big Bang Theory > Community? In what world?

Best Supporting Actor & Actress in a comedy are bad categories. Ron f. Swanson couldn't get a nomination over any of the 4 Modern Family dudes? Or even Jon Cryer?

A few thoughts:

The Killing got too many nominations.
The Emmys are aware of Walton Goggins. About time.
Michael Pitt should have been nominated for Supporting Actor. He upstaged almost everyone on Boardwalk Empire (including Buscemi). Kind of baffled that none of the supporting actors were nominated.
Friday Night Lights love makes me happy.

The lack of True Blood and The Walking Dead is pleasing.
Season 2 of Justified is better than 5 of the 6 drama nominees; it's on par with the other (Friday Night Lights).

How the **** did Michelle Forbes get nominated? Mirielle Enos I can kind of understand because evidently some poor bastards do like The Killing and Enos did about as well as anyone could with that material, but all Forbes did was drone on and on in that nails-on-chalkboard-quality "mourning" voice for 13 episodes. :|

Also, as someone who's never seen American Family: really? All those nominations over Community and P&R? Is it really that good, or is this just Big Bang Theory-type pandering?

Modern Family's alright but there's no way the entire adult cast should be nominated for acting Emmys. IMO Phil Dunphy is the only character on the show who is even half as good as Ron Swanson.

Because the fourth season doesn't premiere until this Sunday, so it won't be eligible until next year. The writers wanted more time to write out the season.

Community nominated for nothing?????!!!?? That's absolutely pathetic. The writing and directing are of movie level quality and they have excellent actors. There isn't a comedy out there that puts the level of effort into it as community does. The talent and genius of this series is as high as it gets really.

Johnny Gelecki for best lead actor???????????????????????????????? The biggest mystery in recent memory. I bet the FBI are already on this disasterous mystery

For the Emmys this is okay-ish. There are some mind-boggling stupid decisions but the Emmys always have some of those so it's to be expected. There have definitely been worse years for this.

I love Amy Poehler's reaction to Nick Offerman getting snubbed.

but more importantly, (Poehler) addresses one of this morning's most egregious snubs—that of her co-star Nick "Ron F***ing Swanson" Offerman. "It's a hot load of bull**** that he didn't get a nomination," Poehler says, "and you can quote me on that." Done and done.AVClub

I do love Community because it strives for something new all the time. One episode we're in the middle of a conspiracy thriller (Geoff claims to be in a conspiracy course, but does the conspiracy course actually exist or is Geoff trying to get a free credit?), the next a claymation christmas special, then a good ol' western shoot out, then a spoof off of Tarantino flicks and their dialogue bits etc. Not to mention a flashback episode that flashes back to scenes that never actually happened in the series. It's pure genius

I don't hate Gelecki. He seems like a nice guy, but how can his role as Leonard earn him any recognition especially when Parsons oushines him all the time.
