A 3-year-old boy in the Golan Heights region near the border of Syria and Israel said he was murdered with an axe in his previous life. He showed village elders where the murderer buried his body, and sure enough they found a man’s skeleton there. He also showed the elders where the murder weapon was found, and upon digging, they did indeed found an axe there.

In his book, “Children Who Have Lived Before: Reincarnation Today,” German therapist Trutz Hardo tells this boy’s story, along with other stories of children who seem to remember their past lives with verified accuracy. The boy’s story was witnessed by Dr. Eli Lasch, who is best known for developing the medical system in Gaza as part of an Israeli government operation in the 1960s. Dr. Lasch, who died in 2009, had recounted these astounding events to Hardo.

He was born with a long, red birthmark on his head. The Druse believe, as some other cultures do, that birthmarks are related to past-life deaths. When the boy was old enough to talk, he told his family he had been killed by a blow to the head with an axe.

The child could have easily been manipulated by someone who knew to say all that, no?

Well, it's all hearsay.

It's not like we even have the child's name, or the victim's name, or when it happened.
A doctor "witnessed" this at one point in time, but he's dead now; so we cant get any details.

Without any facts being presented, it's hard to determine if this is a true story or not.
Though it's probably fake, because if reincarnation was real, we'd have more than one story, and at least one with some details we can verify.
And yes, I went and read the linked article, which doesn't give much more credibility by saying "This has reportedly happened to children before"
Great, Who? When? Where?

Vague stories are often vague because they're fake, and the less details, the harder it is to disprove.

The story is pretty interesting. Problem is there is just too many questions the story doesnt even close mentioning.

Who was this person? When did he die? How come we don't see the body? A three year old confessing this is a bit odd especially its pretty easy to manipulate the kid to say all of this to get attention.

The entire thing could be made up, like there was never a murder.

Prior lifetimes are entirely possible. When you die, it is possible that your electrical essence in the universe stops in spacetime the instant you die and is held at <0,0,0,0> until your electric essence makes contact with another zygote or embryo as the surrounding omniverse does it's cycles. Story could be legit.

"Electrical essence." Is that the technical term?

I'd be interested to hear your hypothesis on how spacetime can act as a capacitor. Electricity is not an 'essence', and static electricity (as in the case of being stored in a capacitor) is not an electrical current, it's an electrical charge (too many or too few electrons) whose mass can be measured.

But yeah, pseudoscience FTL.

Recollections of past lives are due to memory allocation errors in the Matrix. Somebody used malloc() instead of calloc().

Maybe Sam Becket leaped into him. To put right, what once went wrong.

And hoping his next leap*tear* will be the leap home.

I believe in reincarnation but give me a fucking break. A 3 year old wouldn't be intelligent enough to talk like that. They wouldn't even know what murder is.

I am surprised by the majority of the users whom dont believe that the past lives reincarnation is real, although the fact that story features a three year old

now that is questionable. I assume the area is in Isreal.

I hope reincarnation isn't true. I don't want to go through this shit again. Unfortunately, it's what I believe. Better than theism, in any case.

Statistical probabilities are decieving nothing can simply be identified as type 1 or 2 errors.

That said; psychics are real life is a circle, circles are geometically predictable.

I have read a few books on verified accounts of reincarnation (especially in India) by several different authors. It's hard to dismiss their claims outright, but we are talking about, for the most part, a lot of retelling of stories by parents of these children, and claims that do not have any definitive evidence outside of people telling the stories to back them up.

It's a curious thing, but until we get some more hard evidence, it won't go beyond something of intrigue.
