Anyone else calling a similar result for the Argentina - Netherlands match? :D
Well, Netherlands already killed a giant in Spain if someone is gonna do it today the money would be on them and not the Argentine.

Nope. As good as Gaal Qaeda is, he isn't winning that easily. I still say Argentina will take it.
@Aljosa23 We will see, I think it really depends on which Sneijder and Van Persie enter the field today if we have any chance of winning this match, and ditto for Argentina's Messi. I have no doubts about Robben though, he has been incredible this entire world cup and I expect nothing less today.
I'm happy Netherlands have the best player in the world on their team.
Run. Messi fans are coming.

Even if Sneijder and RVP show up there's still the issue of your midfield being over run and that 3-5-2 formation eventually getting exposed. I also don't see the Dutch having all that much possession in the game compared to their past opponents; Argentina will be glad to sit back and control the game. Both teams will get very few chances I think unless they employ some completely out of left field tactics. The last thing Argentina wants is for Gaal Qaeda to decide the tempo.
Or I could be completely wrong and it'll be another blowout to a South American side by a European lol. Could go either way so it should be interesting.
@Aljosa23 If you look at all of the games of this world cup, there is only 1 where The Netherlands had the most possession and decided the tempo, and that was against Costa Rica. (and maybe the second half of the Mexico match) Look at the Spain, Chile and Mexico matches. LVG wants Argentina to have the most possession, let them come and wear themselves out, and then score from fast counter attacks. And as I'm sure you've seen, these counterattacks can be quite dangerous.
Also, if you are one of the people who care about statistics, The Netherlands hasn't been beaten by a South American team in 20 years.
After the destruction suffered by Brazil finally proving that there is no GOD, I'm rooting for Argentina. I want to see an American team winning in America. But if all else fails I'll root for Germany since they have simply played the best football of the tournament.
So, I got a Netherlands flag at home (sort of a funny story) so I will be waving that flag if they score ha.

The Dutch always control how the game is played; van Gaal plays like that. The reason they don't have the most possession is because of the counter attacks... but that's what the other team does as well because Holland like playing fast paced; they don't like teams probing their defenses waiting for an opening. That's exactly what Argentina will try to do today. Both Chile and Mexico games were fast paced back and forth until the Dos Santos goal then it calmed down. Whether they are on the front foot or the back foot the game is always played how they want it to be played.
De Jong will be playing tonight after all.
I hope he flying kicks Mascherano or some other **** on the Argentine squad.
@Master_Live Tell us the story
So, there is this baseball tournament called the World Baseball Classic (basically a glorified spring training competition) that occurs every four years and one of the 1st round venues is in San Juan, Puerto Rico (where I live).
In 2009 tickets for Puerto Rico's (PR) went fast and I couldn't land any so me and 2 friends decided to get tickets for Dominican Republic (one of, if not, the best teams) vs........ the Netherlands!!!
Before we went in I bought two flags, one of PR and for the Netherlands (since the Dominican Republic are bitter PR rivals).
And I get pump up and excited for these things once I get there and was very vocal in favor of the Netherlands. The Netherlands were huge underdogs and the stands were filled with Dominicans (significant population in PR). People got drunk (I don't drink) and I nearly got into a fight defending the Dutch honor.
And yes, The Netherlands won. So it is sort of funny that a fight nearly broke out because some drunken guys couldn't handle defeat at the hand of the mighty Dutch baseball team.
And that is how I got my Netherlands flag. I have photos with both flags at the game but I don't share photos on the internet :(
Is Robben playing tonight? :P
Ofc . i'm pretty scared of him anmd schneider , hes keeping low profile and mostly on off side LOL.
Well Robben, Sneijder and Van Persi are probably the best attack line in the WC. They can make a goal out of nowhere.
Man, this head collisions have been brutal.
***Can I get a gif of that Argentinian girl jumping up and down?
Neither side deserved to win tbh, but well done Argentina.
They will have to play much better against Germany.
lolllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll
That's what the Dutch get for setting themselves up to defend all game. What a bunch of twats.
I love how the Argentinian on the ESPN panel described penalties: "Both teams had their opportunities and now it comes down to this luck things". For all the crap some soccer fans like to talk about, penalties sure is a crappy way to end a game.
