[QUOTE="sSubZerOo"]

[QUOTE="AdamPA1006"] What is wrong with my logic? Come into a thread with a republican claiming to be bullied and everyone is saying he is a liar and making it up. Ive never people say that for gay bashing (Hes making it all up). AdamPA1006

:|  Come back to me when the term "republican" or "conservative" becomes a curse word like "gay" or far worse names for gays that people use all the time.. This happens all the the time..  The reason why this usually is never argued in a high school setting is we have all witness sh!t first hand and have read all these stories.. This isn't saying the guy is a liar, but comapring this sh!t to what a gay person has to deal with in high school? Wtf?

In High school and college I have witnessed liberal teachers going off about every subject and me being the only one willing to question them or argue them. I dont see why that the first thing everyone jumped to in this thread that he was just making it all up. I'm not comparing it directly but bullying is bullying someone coming up to your face and saying your stupid for what you believe in, in a school setting, is bullying. They can argue or debate or whatever but the teachers all went our of their way to attack him. I wouldnt call gay a curse word its just become common as a derogatory term. And many people use republican and conservative as a derogatory term, just like conservatives use liberal as a derogatory term.

:|  ... Then why did you bring it up?  This isn't even the fvcking same ball park.. He had a teacher that was a complete ass.. Deal with it, this sh!t happens, every body has a crap teacher that they don't like and the other doesn't like them.. To even compare it to the same kind of sh!t homosexuals have had to deal with..  And yet again please come back to me when a high school kid says "That's so conservative".. Instead of gay.

Let's keep it real, "that's so gay" is usually not used in the way you think it is.

Kinda reminds me of when my 15 year-old nephew got suspended from school. To hear him tall it the principal is just a bully who doesn't like him and always picks on him. What he left out however was the bit about how he repetedly broke the school's rules inspite of several warnings and detentions before his eventual suspension.

Whatever the situation is, some of the comments are hilarious: [quote="comment"] I was Bullied in High School because I like Ronald Reagan so I know how you feel they tried to get me to conform to their reality I had no one to turn to so I dropped out of school *snip* Renevent42
 Say what? This person dropped out of high school because they were bullied for liking Ronald Reagan?!?!? :lol: That's either a gross under representation of what really happened (probably just a flunky)...either that or this person has the thinnest skin on earth.

A lot of young people today have very thin skin. I consider myself(im young, 13) to have thick skin, there are exceptions:wink:

Favorite line from that thread:

Somewhere along the line, believing Muslims will step up and demand, under the 1st Amendment free practice of religion, the right to polygamy. They will promise to limit themselves to no more than four wives, as per the Koran.AdamPA1006

Tbh it sounds like he's upset because his teachers expressed political opinions. Also I'm not entirely convinced this is even legit.

It;s fine to say that something negative might happen as a result of something else; the fallacious part comes in when you claim that the negative conclusion of something is the only one that will happen as a result.

Oh wow, the bias is strong in this thread. "Oh noes he said the teacher makes 100K a year! The whole article is false." First off, I don't care if they're just "stating their political views!". An English teacher should be teaching ENGLISH and a Health teacher should be teaching HEALTH and leaving their political BS out of the curriculum. Even worse is the fact that they're telling a child that their opinion is "wrong" or "stupid". God forbid it was a religious teacher who was "simply stating their religious views." This forum would have been going ape$hit. This stuff happens all the time. I remember in my freshman year of high school I had a very intelligent Biology teacher who would spend many classes going on about his right-wing political and religious views. Difference being that my teacher wouldn't insult the students and he'd try to relate it to the subject matter. Did we care? Not really, we were kids who were excited that class time was being used up to hear personal stories. Either way, the author of the blog was correct in this assumption that this is a frequent theme amongst teachers. Take off the goggles for a second and realize that no matter what the persons views, it's a waste of time and resources to spend excessive time in teaching subjects that are not related to the curriculum, let alone insult other children when they decide to share their opinions.

Wisconsin public schools employees are state workers, not federal.  Though if you meant to imply that because a Democrat took away bargaining rights I should be salty with Democrats in general then I'll just say I'm not always in full agreement with what Democrats do.

Well truth be told, we don't know. It could be totally bogus or he could be legitimately telling the truth. Too much hate in the world. People just seem to automatically assume the worst. Bullying can be a serious issue. Physical or psychological. Didnt read the article because I am illiterate, but that's my baseline assumptions.

Questionable whether this child is really being bullied, but if it is the case, you are saying it's justified? I can understand being upset at a system, but wouldnt that be taking it out on the wrong person? He's still a child for goodness sake. People often change their political beliefs or ideology as they grow. He may very well shift to the left as he hits his college years. Shouldnt be targetted one way or the other for it.

Wellp they started talking about gay marriage and now I wish bad things upon both parties in the interview...

It's nice the idea he wants to let the gays have rights, but the way they discuss it there is such a psychotic "superiority" complex coming through and it basically sounds more like they conceded because they see it as a losing battle...

Anyone else listen to the interview? Makes me really think this is alot of BS here. I just love how he randomly claims the teachers were passing his name around via e-mail so they all knew who to be mean to.

The host goes on to claim the liberals are telling everyone not to fight back and that's why Romney lost!

Really would like this kid to provide an ounce of proof. He makes all these crazy claims (and after this talk about fighting back, if what he says is true he could have easily been getting teachers fired over the years).

I am sorry but I think this kid is a huge liar and the interview really made me think this even more.

The right wing these days seems to thrive on being "persecuted." I think they do it to distract from the real persecution that comes from their side of the aisle, like trying to stop gays from getting married and what not. If they had good arguments/policies/values, they wouldn't have to rely so much on whining about the oh so mean liberals! :cry:

First of all, even if I grant this statement, that doesn't negate the intense whining on the right.

Also, civil rights movements were aimed at speaking out against real persecution, which is a good thing. The persecution that the right goes on about is mostly fake, small, and petty. Their whining sessions are not important. Civil rights was important.

[QUOTE="GreySeal9"]

The right wing these days seems to thrive on being "persecuted."

Laihendi

Are you serious? Every large civil rights movment in the past century has been by left wingers. They devote their entire lives to complaining about being persecuted.

to be fair, black people and women sort of were persecuted.

It's low even by your standards to put down the civil rights movement.

That quote is going in my blog
