10 years at GS

Damn, time flies. A decade ago I started posting on GS in System Wars, back when System Wars was less angry and more 'Jab jab wink wink'. I eventually migrated to OT and, well, here I am.

OT may be a shadow of its former glory, but I'm here till the lights go out. For those of you who have stuck around, thanks for the debates and whimsical batshit insane conspiracy theories...you're a hoot.

So, let's get this party started. Drinks are on the house (ID required).

What will the next decade bring us? Continuing technological convergence, shifting political tides and more bad SNL skits are assured, but hopefully the next 10 years find you and yours in good health and I hope you stick around to keep this place alive. There really is a special charm about OT that keeps me coming back, so drink up, chow down, and keep posting!

I thought sw was more aggressive than it is now at one point.

It got rough when the HD twins came out, which is when I left SW.

Congratulations, I can only hope to make it here that long! I also miss the more active OT days, I'm thinking the slower forum format probably has a lot to do with the slow down.

I think that was the roughest times for sw despite all the flagging. Its tame now compare to then.

Had an old account that turned 10. However I didn't post much until this account, but mostly on the old pc hardware board.

Yeah Gabu was great, but as usual he was right. You don't get much love at the end of the day/life for being the smartest guy in the room. As far as Saje goes she was certainly interesting, it's not every day you get a person who worked behind the scenes of Hollywood land to converse with you on a regular basis. I would say that I regret that April Fool's joke ever happened, but she would have likely left eventually anyways, speaking of which we used to defend the hell out of our mods back then didnt we?

I had a few issues with the uneven hand of moderation back then, even leaving for a good while at one point. There for a minute it seemed all the good posters were making minor slip-ups and getting the banhammer.

Them were bloody days.

I've also been here for (about) 10 years, as a member. In the early days, I used to lurk around the old GS-site just to browse, download demos/patches and look up cheats. Occationally looked in the forums.
