Yeah ITI is basically a Bay encyclopedia, I'm just getting in to it myself. Get Turf Talk's brand new CD " West Coast Vaccine". The production of it is handled mostly by Droop-E, E-40's son (Turf Talk is 40's cousin so its a family affair), and Rick Rock. Basically everything the aforementioned artists touch is gold so look them all up.

The only bay I really liked was The Team, you can try them. I haven't really looked into more underground groups which I should since I live in the bay, but when I ask my friends they all say Keak Tha Sneak or E-40.:(

I love Keak da Sneak, are you :( because you don't like them or he's not underground enough? 3x Krazy's "Stacking Chips" is seriously one of my favorite albums. Speaking of older Bay stuff, I think most bay-connoisseurs would start a fledgling out on classics like the Luniz - I Got 5 On It which you should now regardless of yay familiarity.

It's not that he's not underground enough it's because I just don't like his style. I can only understand half the words he says and from what I can understand he doesn't even rhyme . But one of his songs is pretty catchy, can't remember the name tho.

I think he's gotten bit raspier recently, like on "Fast Car" (is that the catchy song?) I can barely make out a word. Wait, so you don't like E-40 either??? Be damned, heathen.

Ya I think thats the song.

E-40 is one of my most hatest rappers ever. He has one of the most annoying, idiotic, stupidest styles I have ever heard. His lyrics are awful. And I can never keep a straight face when somebody in my school says My Ghetto Report Card was the best album to come out in a decade, seriously they said that. And what the hell is up with the Oooooooh.

I never really got into the whole hyphy movement or w/e, it just doesn't suit my personal tastes. I bump a couple songs in my car every once in a while however, good base. My fave is prolly 'Hyphy Dumb' by E-40.

The only "hyphy" music I can stand is either by the Team or by The Pack.

The rest is just god-awful.

Same here, but most of those people listen to lip gloss to so I just ignore them when it comes to music.

I know nothing about Hyphy but i do know that this video "Hyphy Movement" is the best ever...

If i was just sitting there at a stadium or something and i just saw all these fools just breaking out doing that i think i would die laughing....especially at that white guy starting at 42 seconds....

Some of the sh*t they do is pretty cool though....

and i can only imagine what goes through the hardcore racist redneck's minds when they see this stuff....

I live in Sacramento, and Hyphy is really big out here.I approach it as a just something to have fun with.I think Mac Dre was the best lyrcist.I bumpin federation-College Girl right now.I am suprised some of the music is not mainstream like the The Team. But I went to a House party a couple of weeks back and heard so many Bay Area songs I never knew exist.

BTW Nas is my fav rapper, and basially memorized NY State of Mind off Illmatic,so I am not just exposed to this side of Hip Hop.
