Why does Japan & other nations get all the Pokemon events?

I think this gen more than any other, it's the worse. It is so depressing. Even Europe is ahead of the US by a Darkrai event. I feel like it's a disservice to fans. The Nintendo Store in NY doesn't even get special events anymore. I wish there were pokemon cafes and pokemon centers here in the us. sad we don't.

I am hoping maybe with the universal studious and nintendo merger that universal studios might get some pokemon exclusives, but not holding my breath since thats far away. and it would also suck for those who dont live near Orlando or LA.

@pacific90: We just had a Gamestop Pokemon event June 22-July12, 2015. They were giving away Dragonite scratch off cards to unlock Dragonite on Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.

i know i got 6 of the codes. but our dragonite compared to:

-7/11 lugia and latios

-teeter dance shiny pikachu

-7/11 ash's pikachu and serena's pancham

-tanbata jirachi

-preorder movie ticket arceus

-hoopa

-pokemon lab starters

-coro coro shiny raqquaza

-movie legendaries (six of them)

-serena's fennekin

I believe thats all the main ones. And while we got Dragonite, Euro got shiny charizard with hold hands and the darkrai. and south korea is getting manaphy. walmart had a kinda special scizor and garchomp which was us and canada exclusive

@pacific90: I like Dragonite more, i bet theyre jealous we got the awesome funny dragon. There will be more events, we always get them, we usual have the coolest ones also, right now its summer time though and kids are pretty busy doing vacation stuff America. Once school starts again, im sure they will do more stuff.

Maybe cause Japan and other nations love pokemon more than the US? I really wish event pokemon could be obtain online which would be easier.

I think *** is just more pokemon oriented for events than the states...
