Who's getting Animal Crossing New Leaf this weekend?

Picked it up before work yesterday and was only able to start playing around 1230AM-1AM. Everything was closed, obviously, after I arrived and decided where to put my house. And of course today I work until 730PM so by the time I get home I'm assuming most place will be closed. Thankfully I have Tuesday and Wednesday off to play and get things going.

I have my inventory full of cherries though :)

I just got it today!

I set up my town, fished for a bit (caught a few sharks, but I only sold one since I donated the others. I was able to do all of Isabelle's tasks, and make about 20,000 bells! So tomorrow I will already be able to expand my house! :D

quick question.  you can play with friends in your main land and not just on the island right?  I ask cause my gaming noob friend seems to think it is only on the isand, but im sure its not.

Haven't played an Animal Crossing in awhile - how do I get ride of the fortunes from the fortune cookies? I don't want to just dump them in my house or leave them around town?

Your character eats the fortune cookie and spits out the fortune just take it to Timmy or Tommy Nook.

Hmm. I will try again then. If memory serves I tried selling the fortunes inside the cookies and he wouldn't buy them/take them back. I know special ones they will let you buy rare items, but these are just the random fortune cookie quotes. I'll try again when I play later to do some fishing. Thanks. 

I'm a little disappointed in the size of the town, but I'm glad the cliffs are back in this one. Paid the down payment for a house so tomorrow I'll be out of the tent. :P

Stackable fruit ftw!

Got my copy today. This is my first Animal Crossing and I'm having a lot of fun with it. I already have 4 fossils and 3 fish, and got a Fi Mask (Zelda Skyward Sword) from my first fortune cookie.

Bought it yesterday. 

Couldn't come up with a good name for my town but oh well. It's fun. 

Egbert's house is so futuristic ... why can't mine be like that?

Do we have to be there at 6PM when it ends? I work 230-11 and will miss a good chunk of time to catch bugs and probably won't be able to step away to play quickly when it ends at 6PM.

Is it even worth it at this point? I just started and already got a prize from him.
