Question about Wii U Virtual Console

I know that the Wii U has it's own virtual console, but it's really limited.

Is there anyway you can buy them from the Wii virtual console and play them on the Wii U?

yea... you can go to wii app and buy them from there....

but you cant use the gamepad or wiiU pro controller.... you have to use a wiimote or wii classic controller

Uhhhh..... kind of. It's complicated.

You can buy any Wii VC game on the WiiU through Wii Mode. The downside is that you can't play them with the WiiU gamepad. You have to use a Wii remote or classic controller. You can use the gamepad screen as a TV in Wii mode, but you can't control them with the gamepad controls. It's dumb like that, at least for now.

I'll probably get a Wii mote and classic controller pro anyways, so that's not too bad of a downside, a little annoying but maybe they'll change that later.
