It is alright. I certainly is not up to potential. There needs to be more sizing options and resolution options. It is fairly intuitive though and the actual engine is pretty decent.
Ok, I am an amateur artist, and I have to say I like Art Academy: Sketchpad. It is intuitive to use, and it makes use of the Gamepad. My wife and I had some quality time with our 2.5 year old daughter tonight using the app. We had been thinking about what kind of games she could play on the Wii U, and the Art Academy: Sketchpad was a success. We were amazed at how she was able to doodle and change pastels on her own after a few minutes of watching me sketch. I am going to try a few serious compositions later when the little one is not hovering and resting on my arm while I am sketching. We might have created a little monster now that she can use the Wii U too.
