I'll buy one when Nintendo's next console arrives. Then I can get everything for dirt cheap.

I'll give it one more year or til the next Zelda game comes out to buy it. Or if the new Smash Bros. Wii U game has a limited edition bundle release....

I already bought one. It's present+ future lineup is quite good. By the end of 2014 I'm garunteed to have 14 great games for it. Not bad at all IMHO.

bought one about two months ago, it was completely on impulse but i don't regret it. i sold my wii three years ago and just wanted to play some mario and zelda again and ended up playing pikmin 3 and tw101 as well.

i'm looking forward to sm3dw, dkctf, mk8 and smash and of course the new zelda u. i hope there won't be more long draughts, there's no interesting title in december and january for me for example.

maybe i'll catch up on skyward sword since my wii was already sold when it came out.

I have had mine for 7 months and I have bought 8 great games!

Until the end of the year that number will probably be around 12 or 13. So I am pretty satisfied with it.

I bought one at launch, and I actually like it. Not a great console by any means, but I enjoy it. Obviously if it had more games (both retail and VC games) it could be seen as a great console. Not there yet though.

I got one at launch. Will admit I wish I had held off, getting it at launch and going through the worst dry spell in gaming history has soured the system for me, but it does have some pretty interesting games coming for it, so I don't regret owning it, but next time I'll wait a year or so before I buy a home console from Nintendo.

Have one. Enjoy it a lot. There are more games that I want than I can afford with either money or time. Have started Splinter Cell Blacklist, but am playing Wind Waker, and just picked up Zombie U for cheap but haven't started it.

Also have: Lego City Undercover, Darksiders II, Batman Arkham City, Call or Duty Black Ops, Scribblenauts Unlimited, Need for Speed Most Wanted,

VC: Super Metroid, Super Mario World, Mega Man X, Punch Out, Donkey Kong, Ice Clmber

eshop: The Cave, Toki Tori II, Zen Pinball, Giana Sisters, Earth Bound, Nano Assault, Trine 2

Would like to get: Lego Batman 2, Rayman Legends

Plan on getting: Sonic, Super Mario 3D World, Batman Origins, Watch Dogs

And people say there aren't any games.

I bought one at launch, then sold it a month later. I bought one a couple weeks ago and plan on keeping this one since I transferred my Wii VC games over to the Wii U. Also, the Nintendo line up looks pretty solid for at least the next 6 months so seems like a great time to dive in.

I bought the Wii U at launch way back in Nov 18th 2012. Thus far I have 9 retail games. Nintendoland,New super Mario Brothers U, Zombie U, Need for speed most wanted U,Batman Arkham city Armored edition, Call of duty black ops 2, Avengers Battle earth, TanK Tank Tank, New Super Luigi U

downloadable games Nano Assault Neo, Zen Pinball 2 plus 11 Wii U virtual console games. Plus all the free DLC Throw ins like Rayman Legends app challenge.

I thought I give the Wii U a shot. It is O.K

Buying a Wii U alone would be $300, and each Nintendo game would rack $50-$60 each.

This year I've paid less than $75 for Steam games so far on my high end pc, (which I needed one for college), and have about 22 games with steam special sales and the humble bundle. A lot more for a less.

I need watch my spending a lot more due to college funding

I've had one for almost a year now and the software releases have been disappointing, but now it's starting to roll with great games. I just picked up Rayman Legends and The Wonderful 101 and I'm loving them both.

Most Nintendo games stay the same price for at least 3 years. In 2017 Super Mario 3d World and Smash Bros Wii U and Mario kart U will still be retailed at full price at a retail store. Of course there will probably be some online deal or something crazy at the Toys R Us or something, but still probably range at he $35-$40 mark.

I haven't paid for than $5 for any one game this year including Darksiders 2, Dead Space 3, Crysis 2, Deus Ex Human Revolution, Resident Evil 5 and Mirror's Edge just to name a few.

And my backlog is already at an all time high. So, I'm good for now and for a long time.

I got mine a few days after launch. I could have waited longer since I don't play much of the Wii U at all. NSMBWiiU is a great game, but there's not too much keeping me interested ATM. As a longtime Nintendo fan that has been playing Mario games before some of you were born, the Wii U has been Nintendo's biggest misstep console-wise. There's nothing I find inherently wrong with the hardware, it's just that I expected more from Nintendo software wise. Even the N64 drought was mitigated by the launch of Super Mario 64 with the system. Nintendo just dropped the ball with readily available games big time. Looking forward to SMW3DLand and Mario Kart 8 though.

Yes, and I own New Super Mario Bros. U, Nintendoland, Rayman Legends, Scribblenauts Unlimited, Wonderful 101, and ZombiU (and have Super Mario 3D World pre-ordered). I'm pretty satisfied with the console so far.

Too pricey with not nearly enough games that interest me.

Once stuff I want comes out I'll look into either bundles or wait for a price drop and do it. System is the only that has any appeal left for me out of the three that exist and playing a new Zelda is a must. Might be next year, might be the year after, but I'll purchase one at some point during its lifespan.

Between the eventual release of Monolith's X and the Zelda bundle tempting me beyond belief, I finally purchased a Wii U. I'll be containing myself and probably wont open/use it until the holidays though, because my time is already split too much amongst a handful of excellent game releases the past few months on systems I already actively use.
