Did u get it at gamestop? and if so how much

i already regret not using a screen protector, as the Ninja star throwing game in Nintendo land is quite rough on the pad using the stylus. I have minor scratches that can not be seen with the display on, but when the display is off and i am trying to clean the screen, the scratches are apparrent.

Yep. It was $10, it came with two (I have two Wii U's so I applied both), it also came with two extra Styli as well.

If you don't have two Wii U's, you can always save the extra one for when the $172 Wii Tablet Gamepads come to the West. Hopefully, it will be closer to $150 a Gamepad controller by the time those release.

Nintendo wants to get the Gamepad western price down and didn't release them separately at Western Launch, which comparing other launches seemed odd to me.

My friend's Wii U tablet looks terrible as well. I told him to buy a screen protector at launch, but he never does. His DS's look atrocious, but he likes to buy new DS machines every few years so I guess that works for him. I buy for the long haul.

Nintendo endorsed ones are on sell in the west for $10.

Do they sell those at gamestop as well??

I just bought one at Walmart 9.99 and comes with 3 stylus and cleaning cloth. Looks fine to me, no bubbles or dust.

Watch out for that guy, he's a well known, er, uh...poster.

There isn't much to the technology of screen guards/protectors. I have been using screen protectors since the original DS, PSP, my various smartphones, et cetera. The only pain is getting the things on, but over time you master it.

Here's a thread directly from Nintendo on this subject.

The Nintendo Endorsed Wii U $10 has the official seal from Nintendo, it comes with a cleaning cloth, two Screen Protectors, two Styli...and I have already used them for both my Wii U's.

They work fantastic. I actually do like Hori though, I have nothing against that company, but I'm not going to go total fanboy on Screen Protectors. I can say that I only use Hori for Fighting game sticks.

This is what I got for $10, and they have different colors for the styli. Look at the UPPER RIGHT HAND CORNER (OFFICIAL NINTENDO SEAL).

I got the same one... came with a blue and an orange stylus and 2 screen protectors. The protectors were easy to apply. At first I didnt' care about the extra stylus, but the blue one looks good and it's much easier to find if you leave it sitting around. Even more so with the orange one. Was a good price for 10 bucks.

anyone know where i can order the offical nintendo one in Canada? i got the cheap EB games one for now just incase,

#21 Posted by jer_1 (7425 posts) -

I suppose it's about time that I picked one of these up. I'll either grab the Hori or the Nintendo one...

#22 Posted by Euaggelistes (1826 posts) -

Not getting one. I had one for my DSi when I was terrified about scratching up my screen because of all of the horror stories I had heard. I decided not to use one on my 3DS and even after playing stylus intensive games like Theatrhythm Final Fantasy I still have no scratches. I do not forsee problems with the gamepad either.

The seal doesn't mean anything, never has

The seal only means that it's made to work with that system, it says nothing about the quality of the item.

That's a contradiction. The seal doesn't mean anything, but then it means something else? Okay.

I already knew that the seal doesn't mean what it used to mean. Yeah, Nintendo changed that. However, that seal did used to mean something generations ago. So, yeah, it did mean something more than it does today. It means less today, but that's okay, it still has a meaning even you grasped.

As far as what you posted in RED, well, it's good enough for me. That's exactly why I bought it. In fact, that's perfect reason to buy it. No hassle, one easy purchase and I know it's made to work with the Wii U.

"The seal only means that it's made to work with that system..."

I was lucky, because after my purchase it worked GREAT!

It means that it's made to work for my Wii Us? That's what I needed to know!

I own Two Wii U's, and I got to use both Screen Guards...hurray!

The seal means Nintendo will back the product, and be more responsive if issues arise. What does NOT matter is much is when a screen protector is officially licensed by. Not saying hori is bad, but I believe it's licensed--meaning they can charge a bit more, and Nintendo gets a cut. It's probably why touch screen products are not shipped with an optional screen protector. Personally though, I don't use them. My take on it is that if a product costs X amount of dollars, it should be able to withstand one of its key functions. I also don't like the haze that screen protectors put over the screen.
