WiiU Needs a Paper Mario

I was trying to think of games that could come out for WiiU and forgot that Paper Mario was always on consoles before the 3DS one.

I would love to see an actual RPG Paper Mario come out that is more like Thousand Year Door on the GameCube and not at all like the one that was on the wii.

Would anyone else be interested in such a game?

Thousand Year Door is still one of my favorite GameCube games ever so I would be jacked if a similar game came out for WiiU.

I'd buy it if it has the same (or superior) quality as the first two Paper Mario games.

The 3DS Paper Mario is still recent so I wouldn't mind waiting a few years for it.

It is recent indeed, but - to put it nicely - it is below average at best.

So I am all for a true sequel to The Thousand Year Door.

Oof! I feel like I'm the only person who liked Super Paper Mario. Didn't anyone else think it was awesome? Bah, whatever.

You know, I wonder if there is some sort of way they could utilize the wii gamepad for a Paper Mario game. Maybe make it part of the gameplay, like have him turn into 'sticker Mario' and go to 'sticker world' on the gamepad or something, lol.

It's terrible.

We'll get one, Intelligent sys is working on a big project, it's probably a real paper mario.

How many advance wars games have there been? We haven't got a proper paper mario in a decade.. I want a new one badly!

The last Advance Wars game was Days of Ruin, in like early 2008. It was alright, but it messed with the formula a bit and I didn't like it as much as the 'Wars World' games featuring Orange Star and its memorable COs, the last entry of those being Dual Strike in 2005. I would be happy with any sort of new Advance Wars game though, as long as it's not Battalion Wars.

The last two Paper Mario games came out in 2007 and late 2012. I thought Super Paper Mario was alright, and though I haven't tried it yet Sticker Star seemed a bit different. I'll agree that there hasn't been a game quite like the first two, and maybe there should be. But there has been a Paper Mario recently. There hasn't been a new Advance Wars in over 6 years.

Count me in as one who loves Super Paper Mario!

I loved the writing and level design. The combat (if we can even call it that) was bland, but the puzzle-solving and the situations in which our beloved heroes got involved were fantastic.

If the game is in the vein of the first two games, then hell yes it needs a Paper Mario. Thousand Year Door in particular has some of the best writing and atmosphere in an RPG I've ever seen, despite the fact that, yes, everything is paper.

Can't say I cared very much for Super Paper Mario. It had its moments but ultimately I found myself wanting the RPG format back. Plus the story had a few too many similarities to Stephen King's the dark Tower for me not to question the writers.
