I've decided I can't pass up the deal. Three great games for $10... I already have played them all and finished 1-2. I no longer have 1, still have 2-3. So this is perfect. I actually started replaying MP3 a few weeks ago so this works out great for me. Now I can also get MP1 back for a cheap price.

Can anyone afford to pass up this deal if they don't already have the Trilogy??

I plan on getting it this weekend. Wouldn't it be kinda neat if Nintendo released some sort of Prime Multiplayer with online matches? Since they already got the main campaigns covered, it could be just the multiplayer for $20. I'd buy into that.

Yep. Saves me the trouble of buying the physical form of the Trilogy or finding the Gamecube games on Ebay. I much prefer physical discs, but I can't pass up 10 bucks for 3 games.

I just don't know how we can play MP1-2? Since normally it was with the Gamecube controller? But Nintendo said the GC controller only works with Smash bros....if I have to use a Wii Classic Controller or something I will be mad.

@Master_Of_Fools: WHen they released trilogy on the Wii they made MP 1 and 2 so they controlled with the Wiimote and nunchuck; just like MP3. So no gamecube controller or classic controller use is available.. (at least I don't think you can switch to classic controller; I never had the trilogy on Wii).

I was going to. But I'm told the filesize is rather large, as I'd worried it would be.

I'll prob just stick with gamecube version of the first game, which I still haven't played. Is the Wii version better/worse?

@garywood69: It's all preference. The wii version is motion controls, the GC is that awesome GC controller. After playing mp 1-3 (1-2 on GC and 3 on wii) I think I like normal GC controls better but I want to revisit before I know for sure.

File size scares me too. Once Xenoblade X and Zelda WiiU are out I'll likely need to invest in an external HDD

7.6GB, roughly. I'm guessing you don't have external storage? :(

Boy that's a huge file. A friend of mine handed down his Steelbook so I figure I can play that. I bought several games in the first Throwback week, but nothing the last two.

I bought it.... but not sure when i'll play it. Got it more to just get it. and 9.99 is a steal.

The hard drive space is a killer though. I gotta figure out an external solution. I hate how the Wii U has such small storage available. Personally i dislike the idea of using an external hard drive.

This is the only game to me worth getting out of those Wii games.

No. I still own all the original GameCube and Wii discs.
If it would have been a remastered or in any other way enhanced version I would've bought it (for more euro's of course).

Who's not getting MPT?! Getting it as soon as I get home from work.

So, large filesize ey? I think it'll be OK for me. I've bought almost all my games physically. Mainly for the reason to use the space for indie games.

@KBFloYd: You may want to check on that because I thought they said the Wii games are going to be half off for the first week. I hope I'm wrong for your sake.

Got mine yesterday for 10 bucks, a definite must buy if you don't already own the games.

Debating on it. I already have the disc, but my lazy ass wouldn't mind it being easier to access. Not sure if that's crazy talk or not. A part of my reasoning wants to say that it's a convenience fee for $10.

I will get Punch out!!. I never played that one.

I already have all 3 of the Metroid Prime games. If I get the trilogy, it will be the physical version.

No, since I have the physical copy. But I am so glad this downloadable title exists. For a while now people were selling this game for absurd prices and now Nintendo comes out of nowhere and offers this game for $20 ($10 with the current first week sale). That's awesome. More people need to play this.

Was going to get it. But then I saw that it's between 8 to 9 gigs. Which was somewhat a deal breaker unfortunately. I think I'll just buy it on disc.

Why not just get a cheap external? After I picked mine up I have no fear of any download size. I'm set for the rest of the generation as far as deals go. I'm even leaning towards getting Xenoblade Chronicles X and Zelda U digitally.

Na, they need to make it 1080p so it doesn't look like shit on a HDTV.

It's more the cost of downloading. In my country, a gig is pretty much $1. So the game is effectively not half price anymore (on top of that, needing to buy an external HD). It was only tempting due to the sale price.

No, already have Prime 1 & 2 on GC & Prime 3 on Wii. Not wasting money buying the same games over again (exception RE4 & IF Xenoblade Chronicles HD/4K Remake.). :P

I got all three (Super Mario Galaxy 2, Metroid Prime Trilogy, and Punchout) for $9.99 all three weeks, although I own the physical copies, now I can preserve my physical copies as my Wii is approaching a decade old since I bought it on launch 2006.

Beware, you need Wiimotes for all three, and in some cases 'chucks. Some users thought you could play Punchout with a classic controller in another thread, but I tested that back then and the new DD copy on Wii U. Still doesn't work.

I`m going to download it in the next few weeks. Hyped! The only Metroid Prime game I`ve played much of is Corruption, which I thought was really awesome.

The dang final boss of the 3rd game is too hard. Just got to it played through the trilogy on the harder difficulty and I dont feel like repeating the area to get to the final boss over and over.

Not me, happy with my physical copy. But for those who don't have it, you just can't pass up this amazing deal!
