Wheres a 3DS Metriod?

I'm still holding out on buying a 3ds. I really really want a new Metroid game. What would you prefer a 3d metroid like prime or a 2d metriod like super? Personally I'd rather see a 2d metroid like super metroid or fusion.

It's early...have patience,i'm sure they'll announce one next year.

And no,a 3D one would be better.

Honestly, I wouldn't hold your breath. If Retro's working on it, it'll be for WiiU. If it's not Retro working on it, then it better be Nintendo R&D1 (made Fusion). I don't want anything like a MP Hunters 3DS.homegirl2180

I agree, great game.

As far as a 3DS Metroid, I'd love it! Would definitely pick that one up. But not sure if you guys have ever heard of the "Metroid curse," but metroid games, although popular in word of mouth and in gaming culture, are not games that have really sold very well in the long run. Games like Mario and Castlevania are more sure-fire sellers, but for some reason, as much as people love Samus, the games just DON'T sell as well. Considering the disappointment that people felt with Other M, I think developers are hesitant to make another Metroid game.

I'm sure there WILL be one eventually, but if anything, it would most likely hit the WiiU, not the 3DS.

It's not 100% sure they are working on a Metroid for the 3DS right now. I don't think it's even 100% sure they are going to make one. They didn't make one for the DS. Not counting Hunters since it wasn't Metroid, but a turd.

Other M under performed and Retro doesn't seem interested in working with the franchise any more. It will take Nintendo a while to decide what direction to take Metroid in from here. meetroid8

I dont want to play another M:PH/Kid Icarus control style game. If we get the second analog stick then Im in, otherwise make it a sequel to Super Metroid.
