I've just got my new Samsung 32" HDTV today, and I'm going to go out and buy component cables for my Wii. What ones are the best to get? I don't want any rubbish ones...

I always advise official products. That doesn't mean, however, that there aren't any other good ones out there. Not really sure which ones are best.

The official ones are £24.99, but there are some others for £14.99 here in Edinburgh. I just don't know...

Just get the Nintendo branded cables You don't spend money for a Wii and a TV to skimp on the connections.

I think they are.  If you can buy a Wii and another Wiimote/Nunchuk and a couple of games then you can buy officials cables.

buy the psyclone ones for 59.99 us, they are the best cables on the market. And easily the most well built. THe housing of the cables is thick strucdy plastic...bending and rats can't hurt this puppy. The connectors are gold plated 24k and the entire line is injected with nitrogen to help electrical conductivity and transmission, it is triple shielding to stop exterior electrical interference and the housing is all metal on the male shells.even the nintendo brand fails inquality next to these puppies....These are easily the best on the market...but how much of a difference it will make from the official brand who knows? All I know is I have the best cables on the market.

That's overkill for the Wii.

You just put a 10,000 dollar stainless steel exhaust on a VW Bug

depends on how much your willing to spend, go for nintendo if your willing to spend more, however if your not, get madcatz because i have heard no problems with them and there pretty good.

The Blaze ones work fine, and I don't see any problems with the image on screen.

Sweet. Nice find! Does it support 1080p by any chance? I wanted to buy a Samsung, but couldn't afford one at the time. I think any brand of cables will work fine. I wanted all my stuff to match up so I splurged for the Nintendo brand component cables. They all should work more or less fine though. Congrats on your TV. :)

No it doesn't support 1080p. The larger Samsung TVs do I think. The image quality is amazing with this TV: http://media.bestofmicro.com/H/G/628/3/628.jpg

i think you should forget the cables and invest in a power converter that will protect your wii and your new tv. not a surge protector- theres a big difference. Ask anyone at best buy in the home theatre section. Its a better investment to protect the ones you just made

I bought the Pelican ones I do believe that was the brand... They made a difference, but the price was higher because of the Nintendo ones being so hard to find...
