Ive got a few more sites to add to the list:

http://wii.clusty.com/ - a search engine optimised for the wii
http://wii.flonq.com/ - a music player
http://www.allnintendo.co.uk/wiibrowserproject/ - tabbed browsing
http://www.wiiminder.com/ - tabbed browsing
http://vcalert.com/ - another VC messaging system similar to the darkain one
http://viewii.com/ - youtube and flickr optimised for wii
http://www.braingle.com/wii/ - wii optimised version of the educational site
http://www.redkawa.com/videoconverters/wiivideo9/ - convert video's into a wii compatible format.

Hope it helps.

EDIT: oh, and I submited this topic to the "wii and beyond" topic stickied at the top of the wii boards, and the creator added it to the user created section.

I like it, can we get a sticky?
#68 Posted by kyo28 (6 posts) -

Great thread, this deserves a sticky.

Another interesting media streamer that hasn't been mentioned yet is Tversity.

Unlike other streamers like Wii Media Center X, this one converts any video file on the fly to flv and streams it to the Wii. In short, this means that it will allow you to play any video file (Divx, Xvid, RM, WMV, etc) that sits on your computer, on your Wii through wifi, effectively turning your Wii into a media center. There are still a few bugs to iron out but it looks very promising!

Site:

http://tversity.com/home/

PS: this software also supports the Xbox, Xbox360 and PS3, for those who have multiple consoles.

Do you know if the program is PC or Mac or both? Also, a few of you have mentioned getting this thread stickied. Who do I have to ask?

It's PC only. The system requirements mention Windows XP or Windows 2000 as only operating systems supported (Vista will follow)

um....i find it kind of wierd that you can just download some software and be able to play music on your wii. it seems that people have found a way to update their own wii without nintendo. is this legal? i don't think i can trust downloading software onto my wiiwhen none of thisis announced by nintendo. its not that i'm not too worried if its legal or not. its the fact that downloadingrandom softwareis not reliable because youcould be downloading a virus or something. i don't think anyone should download anything unless it's made by a major business.other than the software, i think the websites are good

Please do not bump old threads...especially ones that are 5 months old, even if it is your own thread. If you are going to make updates or changes, please feel free to make a new thread.
