I'm here to show you the program I made in Java, it is used to make custom rosters, and saving them as images to show them to anyone! For more information about the program, see the post here:http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?p=14277009#post14277009

Here is an example of an image you can do with the Roster Maker:

I came in expecting a lame super smash brothers roster wish list like we get Tri-weekly, but THAT is really neat, nice job! I'll be toying around with that tomorrow :)

This is going to revolutionize all those unwanted "Who do you want in the next Smash Bros." threads. :P

looks sick man, i'll check it out later... sleepy.

I don't see much of a point for it, but this is pretty nonetheless. Hopefully we'll see fewer roster threads because of this. :P

I agree although some of the characters I want in Super Smash Bros. isn't on that program like John Raimi (Geist)

Well, there are tons of people who make rosters. And now, instead of using an image editor (like Paint or Gimp) to put it together tediously, they can use my program!

As for the characters, there'll be more later on. But for now, there is also an option to add your own images to the Maker.

You mean adding your own images? If so, there is an "Instructions" file included in the archive, I recommend taking a look at it. It's related to the "Reboot data" button.

That is quite nice. It made me sad though because I wish Banjo&Kazooie were still here haha. Oh well.

Yeah, Rare was perfect with Nintendo. I bet some of their characters (Banjo, Conker, etc.) would have been in Brawl if it weren't for the buyout. And probably Dixie, King K. Rool and other related Donkey Kong stuff Nintendo has been ignoring.

Nintendo used Dixie Kong a lot after Rare was purchased by Microsoft.

Nintendo didn't use King K. Rool in DKCR because Retro wanted to use new villains.

Here are some icons I made because I apparently have nothing better to do. If anyone would like to use them, feel free. :)

It doesn't change the fact the DK series has been underepresented in SSB.

OMG, those are perfect! I'll be sure to include them in later versions of my Maker. Could you just tell me from which game do they originate from? I know Lloyd and Viewtiful Joe, but I'm not too sure about the rest. It would be great if you could make more of them, although it's up to you.

Cynthia is the Sinnoh Champion in Pokemon Diamond, Aeron is the main character of Pandora's Tower, (Which completes the Operation Rainfall three) Little King is from Wii exclusive Little King's Story, and Kalas is the Main character of the Gamecube exclusive RPG Baten Kaitos.

Pulse Man is from a japanese only game (Though it is available on the VC as an import!) for the Sega Genesis developed by Gamefreak before they made Pokemon. :D Anyways if I make any more I'll be sure to post them here. :)

#21 Posted by Jakor1 (48 posts) -

Thank you! If you want, I can give you a small list of characters that don't have icons yet.

Pixel-Perfect

Could you create John Raimi from Geist. I want to have him in my list. I will use some of those characters Cynthia, Aeron, Pulse man, and Kalas (I only like having Nintendo Characters in my lists) I know Pulse Man and Kalas aren't Nintendo characters but they are from developers that are associated with Nintendo.

They have Kanto and Hoenn trainers listed so why not Johto, Sinnoh, and Unova trainers?

#23 Posted by Pixel-Perfect (5778 posts) -

Here are some more. The only one here who might not be so recognizable is Marche, the main character of Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced.

Anyways I'll take a look at the list and see what I can do.

And I'll give John Raimi a shot, but go find a good picture of him to use. I've never played Geist.

Well, to tell you the truth, the "list" is quite long, but here are some of my personal requests:

Pikmin: Louie, The President

Pokemon: Eevee, Team Rocket

Zelda: Twinrova, Zant, Deku Princess, Darmani, Mikau, Nabooru

Star Fox: Andross, Pigma, Panther, Andrew

Mario: Grodus

Donkey Kong: Krusha

Kirby: Knuckle Joe

F-Zero: Deathborn

Earthbound: Claus

And thank you for taking the time to make those images!

Here are some images of John Raimi

John Raimi (Ghost)

John Raimi Human

I don't know if the last one will work.

Here we are.

#27 Posted by Jakor1 (48 posts) -

Just being curious, how long does it take to make one image?

#28 Posted by Pixel-Perfect (5778 posts) -

Maybe three minutes. Are you not the one making the other images? Anyways.

and for the lulz

Pixel-Perfect

I don't make images. I took them from Oasis_S:http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=317568, but he said he won't be making any images new images until next month or so. So I can't thank you enough for making some. He will have less work to do now.

And lol, I doubt I'll add Miyamoto in the Maker, but I'll keep the image nonetheless.

Thank you!

Pfft, fine, be that way then. :P

#31 Posted by Nintendo_Ownes7 (30917 posts) -

I'm really liking the program so far.

Though the only three 3rd Party characters I ever use are Pulseman, KOS-MOS, and Kalas.

I tend to only include 3rd Party characters if they were made when a developer Nintendo owns or partially owns was 3rd Party.

I was thinking of a couple more characters.

Freya

Freia (Zangeki no Reginleiv)

Alexandra Roivas

Alexandra Roivas (Eternal Darkness)

Pious Augustus

#32 Posted by Pixel-Perfect (5778 posts) -

Okay... I think this is my dream roster. Subject to change. :P

#33 Posted by Jakor1 (48 posts) -

Interesting roster... to say the least.

#34 Posted by Nintendo_Ownes7 (30917 posts) -

My Roster

This is my roster so far. I know it will change (When they add the characters from my previous post) but I'm trying to get characters I like and have only 48 characters [I think the next one will have 48 characters based on the previous games (N64: 12, Melee: 24, Brawl: 36, Wii U/3DS: 48)]

#35 Posted by Pixel-Perfect (5778 posts) -

Ahw I forgot about Golden Sun. I'm going to have to see if I can fit a character from the series onto my roster.

#36 Posted by Nintendo_Ownes7 (30917 posts) -

Pixel-Perfect

Theres alot of characters I forgot but it is hard to fit all my most wanted characters when I try to put realistic restrictions on my roster. (Limiting my roster to 48 characters.)

If I don't do realisted limitations then I will beable to fit every single character I want on my roster.

#37 Posted by Jakor1 (48 posts) -

I think you cut too many characters in your roster. Also, I would say having between 50-55 characters is still realistic.

#38 Posted by Jakor1 (48 posts) -

Here are some more characters I would like you to do when you have some free time:

Mario: King Boo, Toadsworth, Toadette

Donkey Kong: Klump, Candy Kong, Wrinkly Kong, Swanky Kong

Third Party: Rayman, Spyro (the Dragon), Crash Bandicoot and Conker

#39 Posted by Jakor1 (48 posts) -

So, did you make some new icons?

And I wanna know, what are you using to make them? I tried to do one yesterday in Paint and I failed horribly. The resolution of the original image became weird.

Maybe Photoshop I might make the three I wanted on Wednesday when I'm at school.

#41 Posted by Jakor1 (48 posts) -

Still here Pixel-Perfect?

#42 Posted by Jakor1 (48 posts) -

I updated my first post. I'd also like to have more feedback if possible.

#43 Posted by Est99Styolz (13 posts) -
nice! I can't wait for the game.
#44 Posted by Jakor1 (48 posts) -

I'm working on the third version right now. It should be ready in two or three weeks, and there should be a bunch of new character icons by then.

#45 Posted by Apollo-XI (164 posts) -

Could someone please make these into icons for the roster? I would be very thankful! I tried picking Pokemon types that haven't been in a Smash Bros game before (Dragon, Ice, Dark). The fact that Tyranitar is also part Rock, and Garchomp being part Ground type make them even more unique for Smash Bros.

FDLFierce Deity Link

GarchompGarchomp

ArticunoArticuno

TyTyranitar

WWeavile

Salamence Salamence

KyuremKyurem. Since this Pokemon is not only Dragon/Ice, but also very important in Black 2/White 2, it would be a good add.

#46 Posted by Jakor1 (48 posts) -

I'll take note of these. If nobody else makes them, then I'll probably ask Oasis_S (the one who made all the current icons in the SSB Roster Maker) to do them, although he already has a lot of requests, so it might take quite a while.

Thank you very much :D I didn't mention it in my last post, but you created a pretty good roster maker.

#48 Posted by Jakor1 (48 posts) -

Thank you! I've got over 100 downloads already for the second version, but I'm still not entirely satisfied, as I was expecting even more. Maybe I'm being unrealistic but anyway. So yeah, I'm trying to spread it as much as possible across the Internet. I'll also probably do a youtube video when I'll upload the third version. It's shaping up quite nicely so far, even though I don't have much time to put a lot of work into it lately.

#49 Posted by Apollo-XI (164 posts) -

I'm assuming you have gone on other chat boards to spread the word? What do you plan on adding into the third version?

#50 Posted by Jakor1 (48 posts) -

Well, I currently only have a thread here and on Smashboards. I mentioned it in the Super Smash Bros. thread on Nintendo Life too. Some people seem interested, but not everyone though.

There are several new features that will be introduced in the third version, but as usual, I'm keeping most of it secret until I release it.
