Welcome to the Off Topic Lounge: Nintendo Seal of Quality.. of Life... Edition!
It's February 2014. Butt rock is out. Well, it's still in but Nintendo has another idea. Another photo of Iwata's plans for the year has surfaced, this time revealing a bit more of the list.
That's right, Iwata decided to bring back the ONE thing that has kept their games from being everything they could be. The thing that made every console before the Wii so great. Sure, The Seal® never really went away, but it lost all its meaning, man.
So now it's back, but with a twist that invigorates the brand and restores the integrity that was lost so many years ago.
No more will we have to worry about whether Nintendo's games will decrease the quality of our existence. We can now be assured that every Nintendo product that bears this Seal® will not only function properly with designated Nintendo products, but it will also function properly with our souls.
1. No spamming - "Off topic" doesn't mean "random and pointless." Actually, you know what? This year will be different. Go ahead and post something random and pointless. Most of my own posts can be described that way, anyway. Be charmingly garrulous.
2. No trolling or flaming - I think Gamespot allows trolling now? That's dumb, so don't do it here. Be excellent to each other. And don't sympathize with the Nazis. You'd think that wouldn't need to be said, but.... yeah.
This is the first year that the Nintendo handheld and console forums have been joined. It's nice to be able to celebrate and commiserate with people of a like mind. And sometimes it's hard to be a Nintendo fan, so we should unite under a common symbol, something to sustain us when it feels like we're the butt of every joke.
Happy New Year!
