Super Smash Bros. 3DS sold nearly all its stock in Japan

Super Smash Bros. 3DS sold 944,644 copies at retai in its Japanese launch. According to Media Create, that figure resulted in a sell-through rate of 93.45 percent.

definitely a success. i wasnt sure people would buy smash on the 3DS but i was wrong.

Yea,..hope it doesn't eat into Wii U sales (tho I believe it already did)...& Wii U version will do just as well. People will adapt to the controls ..Ha! to all the Smash fanboys - oh its not GC controller bla bla bla. :P

Not surprising considering portable gaming is a huge deal in Japan. Doubt the Wii U version will come close over there.

I wasn't sure that I would buy the 3DS version, but they kind of force me by not even providing with a release date for the Wii-U version..

Anyway, Smash selling like that is not a surprise. The japanese are nuts for both handhelds and Smash Bros..
