Star Fox, please be Destiny-esque

but with gameplay that's actually fun and interesting. When I see this game and think of "next gen space" it makes me think of Star Fox. I'd love to see the graphics and art style be somewhat in the style of Destiny...every time the ship's are flying during matchmaking all I can think of is Star Fox. That shit would be sooo good. Make the worlds like it but with Nintendo's little extra flair. Take my money now....

So really what you're trying to say is that you hate Starfox and you've never bought any of the games but if they change everything so it's completely different then you can't spend that money fast enough

doubt it...if they had collaborated with or got help from Capcom or someone good with visuals maybe there's a chance. Nintendo never (*I might* be wrong) did anything close to using real style graphics that I can remember. For something that's stated to be release next year?....that's another doubt..it will most likely be cartoony. :P

@superbuuman: yeah, maybe not. Would just be awesome to see some visual detail like this in a star fox game. The atmosphere.

It all depends on Nintendo. I don't think they will go for that Destiny look. They're dealing with animals in space ships lol

When ends meet, Nintendo never makes shitty over marketed shit. They just do their awesome thing.

Wait, who's developing the next Star Fox? Is it Nintendo EAD? If Retro or Monolith are behind it, there's a very good chance it'll have a fantastic realistic-esque artstyle.

Destiny is just Star Wars prequels concept art.

Star Fox is nothing like Destiny and I don't want it to be. I just want a game that returns to the form of Star Fox 64. Just pure space shooting.

@ANIMEguy10034: I thought at E3 Nintendo said they were looking for someone to develop the game and then Nintendo would publish it. I don't think the game is going to be developed by Nintendo. I'm sure they'll oversee things like always though.

i want the next starfox to be like elite lite (or freelancer). the IP needs an overhaul and i think its best chance is going that direction. the wiiu gamepad is also ideal for such a game and the wiiu desperately needs something to make good use of the gamepad.

frontier have done excellent work on nintendo platforms before. lostwinds 1 and 2 were brilliant on the wii. i think elite was also ported to the nes (im just not sure how good that was though or if frontier were involved in the port).

@superbuuman: going out on a long stretch here but I'd love to see some classic N64 space shooting, Adventures exploration and combat, and then a little bit of third person shooter gunplay with the blasters.

I have only played one star Fox game but I really hope the new one is nothing like destiny because that game was a letdown :(

you 12 year old gaming newbs shouldn't be telling people who remember the glory days of the franchise how the sequels should be made

@agethe6: Agreed. Thats why I said I hope Star Fox is actually interesting and has good gameplay. Just saying I think the lighting, environment and graphics would compliment a next-gen Star Fox title

@Jaysonguy: That's why he's asking for a Star Fox game that will be like something else, take elements from another IP, etc.

Similar to Hyrule Warriors, etc. Branch out with an IP into genres, styles not commonly associated with it. He wasn't directly comparing Star Fox games of the past and Destiny as we know it today. But then again, you have a trolling quota so you've got to take someone's comment out of context, blow it up and derail all discussion every hour or the bus you're driving will explode, right?

ON TOPIC: I'd be down for a more MMO-like, 4-6 player co-op Star Fox. I'd like to see a 4 player co-op aerial mode in the new one and online play too.

The thing about Nintendo is, you should probably expect the unexpected, and for them to do things you weren't hoping (or thinking of) - for better or worse.
