I was just going to purchase 1 Gold Mario Amiibo and this is what I have ended up purchasing so far. Might even pickup the Splatoon Amiibo's when they get released in May.

Holy freakin' gold marios!
I got my buddy a gold mario a few weeks ago, he was so happy about that he's decided to keep it in the packaging. I know he also has the original Mario, Link (he went out of state to get it, before it went back in stock all over the place), and a few others... Maybe DK and Bowser? He also really wants to get that Toad. Is Toad limited edition?
I'm not really into the amiibo craze, but I would probably only go after the ones that I really like, and ones that are useful with the games I own. I'd probably want to get Marth and Shulk, but they are always out of stock.
Lovely, a dirtbag who needs to make himself feels special makes a thread and everyone responds
I swear to Christ....
They're comparing collections, nothing wrong with that. I wouldn't personally spend a bunch of money on amiibos, but some of these people are probably really die-hard Nintendo fans.
Ya'll have some impressive collections. Yoko, you've got like all of them so far. o>O;
@yokofox33 and @iandizion713 Awesome collections, I just recently started collecting them when Nintendo released the Super Mario Series Amiibo's and @Ovirew I don't really know if toad is a limited edition or not but I finally lucked up and found him on bestbuy website the other day and just got him today in the mail. @KBFloYd I am not a Amiibo scalper I picked up a few extra to trade with friends.
Even though I'm not the biggest Nintendo fan, there are a couple that'd look cool in my figurine collection... those being Samus & Link. And maybe Fox.
@spike6958: Are the Smash ones junkier? I think the Smash ones look a lot better anyhow, detail-wise.
@Ovirew: Are you kidding? Have you looked at the faces on the more Human Smash Bros characters. They look like freak-show attractions. Look at Smash Bros Peach and then at Super Mario Peach and tell me there isn't a massive increase in quality, and don't get me started on Villager, his eyes are demonic.
@spike6958: There is more detail in Peach's dress and Mario has that awesome fireball. They are also in cooler poses.
By contrast, I think most of the SMB series ones look too bland and sterile. I guess I'm just a bigger fan of the detail over the quality, idk.

I have Peach for SMB and I think she looks fine. Bowser does look a lot better on his Mario Party or Super Mario version though. He has taller spikes, his face and head structure are perfect, and there are plenty of details on his skin, shell and claws. SMB Bowser is almost equally the same except the face and head structure look just a little bit off. His spikes are shorter as well. Samus looks gorgeous and so does Zelda. Sheik could have used a little more work on her hair. Mega Man, SMB Mario and Toon Link look great as well.
@-paranorman-: Agree about Peach. Her dress is also beautiful in Smash. The Mario Party Peach is so blah. Good pick on Bowser as I picked the Mario Party one too.
Yeah, Peach looks great.
I have a small collection of amiibos but, I just started buying them about 2 weeks ago. Expecting Link and Zelda to come in the mail this week.
Here's what I have so far. My girlfriend grabbed most of these from her work. She bought them from Nintendo World Store because she works at Nintendo HQ which is the only reason I had access to the more rare ones. I just started collecting them a few weeks ago.

Wow, that's pretty friggin cool. How did she land that job? Has she been there a while?
Out of all the collections the ones I find the least appealing are the "domestic" Luigi, followed by the other Princess Peach ( not the "domestic" ), I don´t see anything interesting in the Gold Mario, they should have at least painted the eyes, eyebrows and mustache, all plain gold does´t look good to me.
