So, there's been a recent report that Wii could get Guitar hero....but my complaint is that I think it would be cooler to have a Drum simulation game...

It would use both Nunchuk and Wii-mote and songs....just think Guitar hero but w/ drums...

If Activision puts their minds to it, this could potentially be great

BTW: For the record, Guitar Hero is pretty fun, Im just saying that if Activision could use the Wiii's motion for drums..

I think there would be problems with the speed of your drumming. The game wouldn't be fun if you wouldn't be able to drum fast, and I think the sense might have some problems keeping up with very fast movements.

Hell yea, I'd love it because I wanna be a drummer, but can't afford a set of drums and have no room for any, I hope they can somehow figure out a way to do this, but I'm not getting my hopes up too high.

It would have to be a rhythm game or something cause if you actually played a simulation set with real music, you would actually need music sense and knowledge of you would hope to play it right. Being a drumming game thats not a rhythm game, you would actually have to know how to play the song, and sight reading isn't very easy.

I'm pretty sure that Activison is already working on this although I think it will be called Drum Villain.  No clue about this at all but I have a link so you can guess about it.:

I think it is...the news on Gamespot says that Activision has implied Guitar Hero...and they're upping Nintendo support...seems logical that it would make it BTW: I think they'll use the toy guitar...not the wiimotes..

Guitar Hero IS coming to the Wii.

http://crunchgear.com/2007/02/08/guitar-hero-coming-to-wii/

They could easily attach the Guitar to the Wiimote to make it wireless.  That's a really nice feature because the PS2 version is wired and any PS3 and 360 version will have to be wired also.

Drum hero would be awesome, but I'd rather use two Wiimotes than a wiimote and a Nunchuk

Maybe you could have a guitar attachment to Guitar Hero Wii, and combine the two games together to do Rock Hero!!!!!

The 360 default guitar is wired to save production costs, and while it's possible the PS3 version may be wired as well, they certainly don't *have* to be.

Right but they will be wired.  The game is 60 bucks on the PS2 even without wireless functions built in.  I seriously doubt they would make it wireless on either the 360 or the PS3.  It's pretty well guaranteed to be wireless on the Wii though because of the Wiimote.

Same. They'd have to package pedals with it however, and that might pump the cost up. But still, it would rock. If they do this, I will definitly buy it day 1.

It would be great if the wiimote replaced the white plastic thing, that is supposed to be strings. So you just swing your controller and offcourse hold the grip-buttons with your left hand.

And wireless

You'd need some kind of base pedal attachment or something.
But the potential is there.

How about just buying the instrument and learning to play it.. hehe

but seriously Drum Hero wouldn't work unless they had a snare pad and a foot pedal. But if indeed they actually made a game that you could actually do snare rudiments that would be awesome. I'd be totally into that but it would probably cost about $300 retail to do it properly.

Why would it be guaranteed to be wireless because of the Wiimote? Both 360 and PS3 have wireless controllers too, I fail to see what makes the Wiimote so special. All 3 systems have bluetooth controllers. If the 360 and PS3 versions were wired, I'm sure the Wii version will be as well.

Drumming consists of:

about 40% snare drum, 20% Bass Drum, 10% Hi-Hat, 20% cymbals and 10% other parts of the drum set.

The bass drum and Hi-Hat both use the feet to play them.

Now tell me, HOW CAN THERE BE A DRUM GAME WHERE 30% OF THE WORK CANNOT BE DONE????

the only real problem with that is that youd have to be good at drumming to master it

the cool thing about guitar hero is that you could never have picked a guitar up and have mastered the game.

drum hero, you're actually drumming, so it could cause some problems there.
All in all i wouldnt mind getting Guitar Hero Wii as long as i could DL some songs from GH1-2.
And it wont be a jacked up price like the 360 version, it might even be less than the PS2 GH2 combo was.

i would hope there is an option to just use two wii remotes rather than remote and nun chuck, i just dont think the nunchuck would feel as natural for that kind of a game.

Screw Guitar Hero and Drum Hero AND Triangle hero. I want Music Hero: Full Band. It would include all the instruments known to man, from an accordion to a xylophone. And each instrument would have 20+ songs. How many discs would that take?

Being a drummer, I wouldn't enjoy Drum Hero for many reasons;
first being the fact that there would be to drum pedals, although this can be easily solved there's still the;
second problem I'd have with a game like this: the Wii-motes themselves being the drumsticks. Now, I know that the whole thrill of drumming stemmed from the Wii-motes, but comparing holding drumsticks and the Wii-motes is completly impossible, since, while holding a drumstick and hitting something, you get rebound, an essential part of drumming. Also, holding a real drumstick in matched grip with proper technique cannot be emulated with the Wii-motes.
All in all, I don't like the idea of Drum Hero.
