I was wondering about that since i saw the "Naked snake" game on the 3ds

At first i figured it wasn,t the full game( metal gear soild 3 snake eater) just like a spinoff based on that game ( peacewalker or something of the sort)

but then i hear that Tales of the aybss (a ps2 game) is being ported to 3ds

Im kinda happy for this i love ports ( especially ports for handhelds) and wanted to asked if they might do some more

or how does everyone else see this? good? Bad? love to hear what the people say

Yeah ports are possible now since the 3DS is more powerful than a PS2.

I prefer newer games than ports, but I guess the first year will have companies pumping out mediocre titles until their big games arrive.

Its possible, but now, the 3DS isnt going to need Ps2 ports inorder to be the best selling console (handheld) in the history of the gaming industry:P

Yeah I would rather keep the ports to a minimum, but it is possible to port games from the last gen console systems, maybe even a few games from this gen.

HD ports > 3D ports. that's what the companies would think, i guess :P and MGS3 is a remake. same story, different gameplay.

I have no problem at all with ports or remakes.Especially ones for games I haven't played, or just don't own. I don't see why so many people will have such a problem with them either, they can't be taking up too much time for working on new games.

It's not really a problem with ports themselves, it's just that people would rather have them use their time for something new, not something that a lot of people have already played. I have no problem with ports either, but I'd still prefer Skyward Sword over OoT 3D.

A port is technically a new game if you haven't played it before. :)

Yeah, I've never played Starfox 64, so it is kinda a new game. Heck, pong is technically a new game if you've never played it.:P
