I say that if you can do the game without a guide then you really shouldn't. If you play for hours and hours to the point where you've explored and explored to the point where the challenge is just frustrating, then you should consider using a guide. It reminds me of Majora, I played that game all the way through without a guide and it was an amazing experience. But, there were lots of people who got stuck and then just put the game down and never got to even get halfway through. Those people should just suck it up and cheat a little bit. It will degrade the experience each time you do, but its better than nothing.
How many people got through Twilight Princess without any help at all? If not, how long did it take you?I hear ya man, most people wanna blow through their games in under a week just to brag that they beat it, but I take my time with my games, also, strategy guides are for noobs.
I chose #5. I stayed away from all spoilers past E3(well, as much as one can), and didn't use any help.Mind you, the end result was a 97hr. game, but I'm still glad that I never knew what was coming next. I like to take my time with these games, anyway.
