Pleased with the new Smash Bros' roster?

Personally I am for the most part, very excited for Duck Hunt Dog, Shulk, , Megman, and Pacman.

I think Fire emblem and Pokemon got too much love, and would have liked to see an additional Sonic character (tails and/ or knuckles) and another Donkey Kong character (king k rool)

It's the best roster yet. It is disappointing that veterans like Lucas, Wolf and Snake aren't returning, Ice Climbers being cut due to the 3DS's limitations is lame as well, and Dr.Mario, Dark Pit and Lucina aren't really exciting, but the fact we've gotten so many fantastic and iconic newcomers, like Megaman, Pac-Man, Little Mac and Villager, completely outweighs the disappointments.

Seriously though, anyone who says that the overall roster sucks is in complete denial. I admit that it could have been a bit better, but it's fantastic nonetheless.

Yes, with the exception of Midna not being a playable character.
She's an assist trophy, but that only puts salt on the wound. :(

Toad. There's no Toad as a fighter.

Love for pokemon is fine by me^^ Such a big franchise should be represented.

I find the lack of King K. Rool disturbing. That and the fact we are sadly missing Snake, Lucas, and Wolf.

Other than that I am satisfied with the roster.

I do have a few complains such as the return of Dr Mario, Ice Climbers not been able to work on 3DS, and Dark Pit and Lucina been more than just alt costumes for Pit and Marth (why are they there own characters, but Alph from Pikmin and the Koopa Kids are just alts?) .

I'm hoping that Smash for Wii U will add some extra fighters that can be transferred to the 3DS version (this is rumored to be happening apparantly), or there'll be DLC characters in the future, but the main thing for me is Toon Link returned so I can easily look past the few disappointments.

It strikes me as odd that they added new clones like Dark Pit and Lucina but took out the older clones that have their fanbases like Lucas and Wolf.

The roster could always be better. It would have been nice to see a a couple more franchises receive the love and attention that Pokémon and Fire Emblem received, and I would have been happy seeing an additional third-party or two have a character in the game, like Square-Enix and either Sora or a representative from Final Fantasy.

But all in all, terrific roster and I can't wait to play it when it releases late this evening.

Most definitely. The only thing I would've liked added is Roy (I know he will never return). The roster is huge too, which I like.

Kinda wish it had 50 characters, 49 is a weird number to leave it at. I'm still really peeved off that Wolf was cut...he was one of my mains in Brawl. And I love the Starfox franchise. Other then that my only other complaint is Dr. Mario and Dark Pit should have been a costume, and Mii's should never have been in the game.

Oh yeah as the other guy said, Roy coming back would have been glorious. 3 Fire Emblem Characters with blue hair and a sword....Roy was better then Ike!!!

As for Snake...he was a 1 time special exception. He doesn't belong in Smash and I am glad he is gone.

Why do people assume Dark Pit and Lucina will be clones? It also confused how sometimes I see Dr. Mario called a clone, he plays very different than normal Mario in Melee

Naaah. I was skeptical at first, but they're surprisingly fun and the customization's addicting. Mii fighters are one of the best additions to the game, to be perfectly honest.

I thought that there are too many revealed characters already. Many of them should have been secret characters in the first place.

Too awesome, if you ask me. He seems to be the best character and pretty OP. Fast as hell, plus strong as hell. Usually it's fast, but weak or strong, but slow, but with Mac he's getting both. Add the "KO" move to that and he's even more OP.

Would've liked to have Snake and Ice Climbers in rather than Dr. Mario, Lucina, and Dark Pit but I'm happy with the roster.

Aside from missing Snake and a lack of Ridley; I really am enjoying the roster. Duck Hunt has ended up as my secondary main. My actual primary is the revamped Zero Suit Samus.

I've unlocked all characters now, including Mr. Game & Watch, which I was worried wouldn't be in the game. I'm satisfied with the roster now. The Duck Hunt Duo was more fun than I thought.. I miss Lucas and Wolf a little, though.

It's a solid cast of characters, I just miss Popo and Nana. However Rosalina and Luma made up for the loss of my main character.

Never thought I would main the Koopalings. Love them.

The lack of Snake pisses me off. He was my "Fun" character. Otherwise, I have no complaints, though to be honest I don't have the game yet lol...
