It has been a long time since Sega did what Nintendon't, but now the two companies are inseperable. After Mario & Sonic held their Olympic games, and Sonic joined the Smash Bros. roster, there has been nothing but love between the two companies. We already know what Sega is bringing in 2009 and it is pretty interesting stuff. They actually are doing what Nintendon't and padding up the empty early 2009 release schedule for the Wii.

Sonic has received a warm welcome on the DS, and is part of history with the Sonic games on the Virtual Console. An actual animated short (Sonic: Night of the Werehog?) was shown on the Nintendo channel for all to see, making people a little more aware of the Blue Bomber again.

One thing we may have not realized (and I'm just yanking your chain here) is what MadWorld could mean for the Wii in the future. As we've seen with the success (it is a success) of No More Heroes, cel-shaded/cartoon games can sell on the Wii. Madworld is just another shot at reinforcing that as true. Bu Sega could also take a second shot....... with the Jet Grind Radio series. Hey, Golden Axe came back (and failed) right? With a little direction and some Ninty supervision, Sega could bring back a super-stylized hit. The possibilities are endless when these two companies work together, and even thought they were the worst of enemies, together, they make an AWESOME team. Team Setendo, Ninsedo, Sedoga, whatever.

Nintendo should buy out Sega. Their rivalry would be nothing then:P.

Not really. Remember, competition fuels innovation.

Yeah, but Sega isn't seeming like a very good competitor these days anyways.

they didnt seem like it in the master system days either... but this isnt really the point anymore, they arnt in a competition anymore, they work together but this doesnt mean that Nintendo has to buy Sega. It is good to not have every third party be owned by the first party, it will help give us variety.

Well then, what else do you suggest they can do? The poor Dreamcast died 7 years ago.......

I think they aren't that big of friends cause they have been in competition with each other for along time.

But software is the only thing they can make. I don't see what else you think they can do....... Develop.......what? 3rd party controllers? Another console? Playing cards? Sonic Unleashed featuring Jaleel White?

No. They should buy out a company that still makes good games.

Nintendo can't buy everybody. I guess with all the success they have had the past two years, selling 10 million pieces of software in just last week, people assume Nintendo is sitting on trillions (of yen that is). They made $1 billion last quarter in profit, but that doesn't mean they are going to just blow it all. They are saving it, in case something BAD happens. Like another videogame crash or something, or developers closing down (which is happening as Wii Speak-get it).
