Nintendo and Cross Buy

Does anyone know if Nintendo will plan to roll out cross buy like Sony has? I really wouldn't mind having 1001 Spikes for both 3DS and Wii U, but the cross buy option for the Sony systems makes that more enticing.

Like I said I would rather have it on the Nintendo platforms because I play my Wii U a lot more than my PS4, and lately I've been carrying my 3DS around more than my Vita.

It would be welcoming for things like Shovel Knight as well because I've already purchased that once for the Wii U. A lot of these indie titles would be welcome portable additions to my library.

Any thoughts? Think it'll happen? I thought I heard rumors that it might be headed that direction ... but when ...?

Squids Odessey has cross buy if you purchase the 3DS version.

Pushmo has a 30% discount.

I think Nintendo is leaving that choice up to the developers. That said, Nintendo isn't offering it themselves for their first party games IIRC, 'cept for the Pushmo deal thedude mentioned above I suppose.

Not really. I'm hoping it becomes a thing next gen - especially for VC.

@elheber: I would think the maker of 1001 Spikes would be open to it. He seems like the type of guy that wants to give the fans what they want. That's the main funk I'm in so far. I want to buy it on Nintendo, but might go Sony just for the Cross Buy.

But, yeah, for future releases I'd be keeping my fingers crossed too, definitely.
