Just out of curiosity, does anyone know if the Circle Pad Pro for 3Ds XL will be compatible with New 3DS XL? I've just heard of a lot of people say they like the extra ergonomics it adds. Not sure if there is that much of a size difference or not.

It does not considering the New 3DS offers all the buttons and "second" circle pad/c-stick from the Circle Pad Pro, and the New 3DS is also slightly larger than the originals, therefore they won't fit on the attachment. Older games that supported the Circle Pad Pro, like Resident Evil Revelations and Monster Hunter, will register the New 3DS as a 3DS with the Circle Pad Pro attached to it.

@ANIMEguy10034: OK, thanks. Not the end of the world, but just something that I was curious about.

Why would you even want to add a bulky piece of plastic for two games anyway. The new 3ds already has two sticks and two extra buttons

@jlee14: @mariokart64fan: I was reading about some people saying that it adds extra comfort for people with bigger hands. After long plays and if I'm gripping it a certain way my hand begin to feel weird, crampy and itchy. Not long ago, someone showed me a way to hold ir a little more loosely, but I was just wondering about it just in case it was more comfy for my giant hands.

I actually have a circle pad pro and I love it.

I was originally considering getting a new 3ds xl for the updated textures, new 3d, faster load times, and higher fps, but to be honest, I prefer the comfortability that the CPP brings over the rest.

Hope this helps

I wouldn't be surprised if they make a comfort grip for it in the future. When that happens then even I will consider the N3DS. Otherwise I use the 2DS and it wokrs for me just fine.

I was actually wondering this as well. The reason quite simply being that the C-stick isn't that good for shooters (all 4 of them). It's fine for camera control though.

--I've loved the cpp since before 3dsxl

--I spent 16 hrs on mh3u (before converting to the wiiu version)

--the new 3ds thumbstick is a HUGE disappointment for me

--I'm a huge monster hunter fan

--and

--the circle pad pro on a 3dsxl

--is the closest you're gonna get to playing it with actual thumb sticks

--highly recommended for mh4

--VERY ergonomic

--not great for 'putting in your pocket'

--but

--whenever I travel~I have plenty of bags

--also

--there isn't many of these things in existence

--you'll most likely find a few for sell from china

--I'm waiting on my second cppxl

--I ain't the only MAJOR monster hunter fan around my place
