Wii U Metroid is possible, but mostly rumors and speculation.
Smash Bros, Bayonetta and X are currently the only big Wii U titles that can potentially be released later this year.
Basically
1. X
2. Smash
3. Mario Kart
4. Bayonetta (if you are into that sort of thing. I personally am not)
Those are the big probably must play titles
Since nobody else has said it I will. Zelda HD.
Too bad nobody knows when that's coming out.
I'd like to see at least one or two other big first-party games announced around E3 time, but I guess all I can do is hope.
You'd think with Nintendo getting so much flak lately over the Wii-U, that they would be using this time to make progress on some more heavy-hitters to help remedy the situation.
Of course, there's also the possibility that they are doing just that, but will be nowhere near done with another game of that caliber by year's end. (ex: look at how long it's taking them just to make Smash Bros. 4...) More announcement trailers would be nice, and might instill some faith in the Wii-U from fans. ...Even if the game is a long ways off, the promise of the game is worth something.
I almost wish Nintendo would expand development teams and kick everyone into high-gear, and then announce like a dozen big projects in the works. They could make it a goal to get a sequel to every staple franchise on the system, and try to get people brainstorming for new IPs.
@ANIMEguy10034:
Fall this year, its been in development for 4-5 years by the time November-December rolls around.
@ANIMEguy10034:
While I don't support that whole proof or GTFO, but if you honestly think Nintendo didn't start working on Zelda HD as soon as they had a working Wii U prototype then you've gone mad.

Well, claiming that Zelda HD will be out this Fall is a pretty bold statement.
Skyward Sword apparently had a 5 year development time, but two of those years were just experimentation, so technically they worked on the game itself for 3 years. Skyward Sword was released two years after they revealed the first concept art. We still do not have concept art, teasers, or trailers to prove that Zelda HD is far enough into development to be shown to the public. It's possible for Nintendo to reveal some proof that they're working on Zelda HD during E3, but the chances of it being released this Fall is incredibly low, especially since they will never release two console Zelda titles on the same year, despite Hyrule Warriors being a spin-off. Actually, the most likely reason why we're getting Hyrule Warriors is because EAD Team No. 3 is no where near finished with Zelda HD's development and Nintendo wants some kind of Zelda-related filler as we wait.
@ANIMEguy10034:
True, but when you look at games like Dr. Luigi that came out of no where and poof it was out a month later. Kirby Triple Deluxe came out in Japan just 3 months after it was revealed. As for Zelda HD Miyamoto said they were going to show it off originally last E3, then Anouma was going to show it off at another time last year. So if it was then, we would have that teaser and trailer and such. So yes it is closer then people think. They saved it for this E3 cause they have NO OTHER BIG SHOCKERS lol. Unless Miyamoto finally reveals his new IP.
