Great game, but I still have my copy and it works fine. Awesome for those who haven't played it though.
So are we going to get consoles games on the 3DS then? Like N64 titled released via eShop?
Its not a clear message to me.
That's what remakes are for.
See Star Fox 64 and Ocarina of Time
I am aware of remakes. They also cost more than a straight VC release. Retro portable games on the current portable makes more sense.

I doubt that. Nintendo has said that they are not going to put GBA games on the 3DS virtual console because the 3DS is not powerful enough to emulate them with the restore point features that their other VC games have. It makes no sense to me, as I prefer not using that feature anyway, and I already have Minish Cap on my 3DS. The game is great, though. It is the best of all of the 2D Zelda games that I have played by a considerable margin. I would buy it for the Wii U if I didn't already have it on the 3DS.

I am not doubting you in asking this, just want to read the article myself. Do you have a link for this article?
Maybe they are running into problems with running VC features, I never thought of that being an issue considering the 3DS is equivalent to a much more advanced GC. I feel like such features could still be integrated into VC portable games on 3DS with restore points. There was a Gameboy player for the GC. Also considering GBA is roughly equivalent to an advanced SNES, I am left skeptical.
Its really just a pet peeve for me, but games that were designed for portability, I would prefer their retro counterparts on a portable system and retro games developed for the big screen ported to the Wii U. I understand with Wii U, GamePad makes GBA games look excellent though.
Its just an imperfect solution until we inevitably get complete parity between portable and console VC games between both platforms.

This isn't straight from Nintendo's mouth, but it explains the problem fairly well. The GBA games that are on the 3DS through the Ambassador program are not fully featured VC games like the NES games are. I agree with you that it would be better to have them on the go, though. Nintendo having some sort of remote play feature for VC games between the 3DS/Wii U would be an ideal solution, imo, but I'm not sure if it is possible without releasing a new 3DS SKU.
