I am looking for some comparison pictures because I am curious about the graphical power of the WII U. I have one pre-ordered and I have seen the Arkham City comparison and the WII U version looks fantastic. Is there any others I can look at? Cheers.

Maybe this showreel will help?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uw4CLW6aVl4

Or this tech demo from E3 2011http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Shch7LNkVXw

In terms of pictures comparing one to another, might have to wait until the machine comes out and IGN gets their hands on one or something.

Its probably best to wait for the system to come out and see the games in person. It's definitely a lot more powerful then 360 & PS3 so I wouldn't be too worried. Also you should read the latest "Iwata Asks" on Wii U. It was a really great read and they kind of go a little bit into detail of the design of the internals of the system how power efficient it is and all the tests they ran to check for failures/heat problems, it's all really amazing!

They definitely didn't throw the system together last minute!

Its well worth the read trust me!

Yeah, that Iwata asks is awesome.

I think it will be able to go the distance over the 8th gen.

Also even though it is more powerful, don't expect to see anybody really take advantage of it for a while. Multiplatform games will still be developed for the Xbox 360 and the best the Wii U will get is a slightly enhanced port, but most of the time it will probably look identical. I'm sure Nintendo will probably make some beautiful games with it, but it doesn't seem like the launch games are taking much advantage of the systems power. Most games aren't even being rendered in 1080p yet. Hopefully that will change within the next year.

A bit off topic, but about good graphics,... I'd love a new Yoshi's Island in full 1080p with a gorgeous art s(tyle) like Rayman Origins/Legends.

Yeah, When the system comes out I will most likely do a blog about the first of the new generation home consoles and compare it to the Xbox. Although they are different beasts. I'd say to fully enjoy this system. Go into it thinking like a Nintendo fan. Not an Xbox/PS3 fan. I have all three consoles (Never seen the point in console wars, To me a gamer is a gamer, We all play games and should enjoy them) so I'm happy to play the whole triangle.

As a Tech head I thoroughly enjoyed this. Thanks. A bit off topic but does anybody have an XBL or PSN? I gave the Wii to my nephew to make space for the Wii U. We have a young Nintendo fan in the making. Reminds me of the days of Genesis vs Super Nintendo. 'Blast' processing. So many memories!
