Well despite first party launch games only running at 720P, multiple third party games run @1080p. I only know a few right now, but maybe people can add games if they aren't included.
Right now the list includes:
Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition
Assasins Creed 3
ZombiU
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2
Transformers Prime

If there's any game you know that also does 1080p just comment.

areu sure its not upscaling them to 1080p?? cuz thats a huge difference between actual 1080pBangerman15No these are native 1080p. Also Call of Duty Black Ops 2, Batman Arkham City and Assasins Creed 3 are running at 60 FPS as well. I also have a feeling that ZombiU and Transformers Prime would be as well, I'm not quite sure though.

You didnt watch last thursdays Nintendo media thing? Activision said Wii U version of COD BO 2 WILL BE 1080p and 60fps. However who gives a damn about cod. Dont believe me look it up on Nintendo's Youtube channel.
I'm not 100% sure if COD BO2 will run at 1080P yet.

I want to think they do have 1080p but those are just rumors and are no way confirmed. Wii U Daily is known for posting WAY too many rumors that don't pan out and their acting as the SOURCE for some of this. Additionally the "reports" that a Nintendo rep said in Chicago that Batman and AC3 would be 1080p may not be legit. There's no video of the rep saying it, and even if he/she did they aren't developing the game so they aren't too keen on information. Black Ops 2 is said to be "Full HD" but Treyarch could mean 720p since, by comparison, it is "Full HD" over 640p in the sense that it's actually HD. Like I said I hope they are all 1080p but there is no concrete information saying so. Find me company reps saying this in official interviews or videos, then yes.They never said "1080p", they said "Full HD". I know what full HD means,but we don't know if that rep is talking about the COD franchise finally display in an HD resolution for the first time on a console or 1080P 60fps.I would not be shocked if it actually ran at 1080P anyway.I watched the media thing.

Just go into a store, a 720p TV will never be labelled as Full HD because it is not. Anyways Call of Duty on current consoles only run at 540p, which is Sub HD, half the resolution of Full HD. Technically you could say anything above 640p is HD, but it is not Full HD. They didn't just say HD which they could have, they said Full HD, for the Xbox 360 and PS3 version they never have ever said it runs in Full HD. Anyways multiple developers have come out and said the Wii-U is very capable of running native 1080p, so I don't know why this is so hard for you to accept. Like the rumored GPU's of the Wii-U are more then capable of running 1080p on max settings for most of current gen games. Nintendo first party games and Mass Effect 3 are the only ones confirmed to run at 720p. Nintendo probably doesn't feel the need to push their launch games graphically since New Super Mario Bros. U and Nintendo Land aren't exactly graphically intensive, and making it 1080p probably wouldn't make a very large difference. However I imagine when we see a 3D Mario game, or the Legend of Zelda Wii U, it will probably run at 1080p 60 FPS and out perform any current gen title. The Zelda tech demo and the Garden tech demo both ran at 1080p, and both of those look better then any game on current gen platforms.I was really hoping for Tekken Tag Tournament 2 to make the list of 1080p. Its only 720p on PS3 and 360. I figured WiiU could make the difference in temrs of power.

What a great revelation you've provided from a year in the future -_- Why on earth would you bother bumping this..?No game on Wii U runs in 1080p to my knowledge. Everything mentioned in the first post runs in 720p or lower.
